Charming Cottage on the beach

Kick back and relax in this calm, quaint, stylish space. Small and cosy, the cottage dates back to the 18th century and features lintels made from ships beams beached long ago. This seaside cottage has a "Loo with a view" over the Solway to Scotland! And if you like to sleep with a window open, you'll drift off to the sound of waves breaking on the shore. We're pet friendly too, as is the beach which is open to dogs all year and the Lakes are just a short drive away. Sea or fells? You choose! The space The cottage is small but perfectly formed! A cosy living room complete with a gas log burner, a comfy couch, a breakfast nook, reliable wifi, old school radio/CD player with a selection of CD's and of course a smart TV so you can stream your favourite channels. The cottage has a TV License so you can watch your favourite BBC dramas safe in the knowledge that all is above board and additionally we also have a Netflix subscription. We have a selection of Cumbrian themed books along with a set of the famous Wainwright fell walking guides which you are welcome to use (but please bring them back). Finally there are cosy throws ( for dogs and people), a hamper of games for cosy nights in and a cupboard where we keep dog towels, bowls etc. for our furry friends. Moving on to the kitchen, we've crammed as much as possible into our galley kitchen, along with the usual, kettle, toaster, hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. You also have a Nespresso machine, milk frother and Nutri bullet blender. Upstairs, the bedroom is calm and elegantly dressed with a comfortable bed and high quality bedlinen. We also have a large wardrobe where you'll also find an airer, iron and ironing board, should you require it. Finally we come to the bathroom and the loo with the view! Sit on it and see for yourself! We have a bath for those who enjoy a soak and an Edwardian style overhead shower if that's your preference. Speaking of showers, we also have a hot water dog shower just outside the back door, so even the most reluctant of four legged bathers should be happy to have the sand and mud rinsed off them! Guest access You have access to the entire property.
