Box Cottage is in the heart of the picturesque village of Wilcot, (in the Vale of Pewsey an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) with private garden, opposite the quiet pub and backing onto the spacious village green with a children's play area and football nets. Parking for two cars outside property The property dates back to the 17th century with wooden beams and other period features. It has recently been re-decorated with high quality furnishings . 5 minutes to Pewsey station, London 1 hour The space You arrive in the kitchen/utility area, with a 4 door aga and refectory style table that can sit 8 people comfortably. The family room has a wood burner stove and smart tv. The office area is a useful space and has a printer available. Follow onto a large play room area with piano for games etc. Upstairs comprises of 4 charming bedrooms, two with double beds, ( 1 x Super king, 1 x King size) and two twin bedded rooms. A family shower room, and family bathroom with a downstairs separate lavatory. (3 x lavatories in total) The pretty garden is roughly half an acre, (not pet safe) with a gas bbq and outdoor seating. The famous towns of Marlborough and Devizes are within 10 minutes drive, with Stonehenge 25 minutes away and Salisbury 40 minutes. Easy access to London. The local town of Pewsey is five minutes away offering chemist/co-op, pubs, bakery and charming cafes. Wonderful evening walks down the canal to see Kingfishers, swans herons, and a host of other types of wildlife, or head up to the top of the vale for staggering views that stretch for miles. A lively cricket club offers programmes for youngsters during the Summer months. The Golden Swan pub is a haven for visitors offering daily lunches and dinners and all the local brews! Guest access Guests can use the entire property inside and out. There is a fee for pets of £20.00 ea. This must be negotiated separately after your booking has been made. A dog bed is provided and pets are preferred not to go upstairs!
