Cozy cottage by Kastminnehamn, bookable year-round and operated by Kvarken Living. Enjoy nature, sauna and your own beach with jetty, pedal boat and rowboat. There is something for every season – summer swimming and boating, springtime birdsong, autumn berry and mushroom picking, and winter evenings by the fire with a chance to see the northern lights. NOTE: The beach sauna is booked separately in winter (December 1-March 31) for €50, including wood and water. In very cold temperatures, a longer heating time is needed and the heat is lower. The space Welcome The property is located in a quiet, natural environment where simplicity and relaxation are the focus. Here, you live close to both forest and sea, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. ________________________________________ The space The cottage has: • 1 bed (140 cm) • 1 sofa bed (120 cm) The accommodation is best suited for 2 people, but up to 4 people can stay here if you accept a more compact space. During the summer, larger groups have also enjoyed themselves, as much of the stay takes place outdoors. If the sofa bed is used as a sleeping area, it will be more practical to turn it so that the backrest faces the toilet wall. Bed linens are available in the cabin and are included in the stay. The cabin has electricity and the parking lot is lit. ________________________________________ Kitchen & equipment The kitchen is equipped for self-catering: • Stove top • Refrigerator with freezer compartment • Micro wave • Coffee maker and kettle There is kitchen equipment for 4 people, including pots, frying pan, knives, cutting board, colander, grater, cheese slicer, and dishes and cutlery. There is no running water in the area. Upon arrival, there is 20 liters of drinking water in the cabin, and for longer stays, it is refilled as needed. Water for dishes and hand washing is taken from the water tank. ________________________________________ Toilet In the cabin, there is a composting toilet. Please follow the instructions for use to ensure it works optimally. The outdoor toilet is available as a simple and environmentally friendly option. ________________________________________ Sauna & bath A wood-fired sauna is included in spring, summer and fall. Water is taken from the lake or rainwater barrel. The beach is sandy, while the lake bottom is soft and natural. Swimming is easiest from the swimming steps. ________________________________________ Winter (December 1 – March 31) The sauna can be booked in winter for €50. Firewood and water in cans are delivered to the sauna if needed – please let us know the desired time in advance. During the winter, the sauna needs to be heated for a longer period of time to reach a warm temperature, and in very cold temperatures, it does not reach the same heat level as during milder seasons. Please note that there is no lighting between the cottage and the sauna. Flashlights are available to borrow, and we recommend going to the sauna while it's still light for a simpler and more atmospheric experience. ________________________________________ TV & connectivity The TV has a caravan antenna and the signal may vary depending on weather and location. There is a smart TV, and it is often possible to share internet from a cell phone. ________________________________________ Nature & surroundings The property is located on a plot close to nature with varied terrain, rocks and natural differences in elevation. We ask you to be careful in the area, especially at the terrace, beach and other places with different levels, and to keep an eye on children. The nature around the cottage is a big part of the experience here – it changes with the seasons and gives a feeling of calm, seclusion and closeness to the authentic landscape. ________________________________________ Outdoor living & equipment For an active and relaxing stay, there are several things to borrow depending on the season, including a rowboat, pedal boat, life jackets (one size for adults), beach toys and a small baby pool during the summer. There is also a gas grill and a fireplace for wood, which can be used for cooking or a quiet evening by the fire. During the winter months, kickstands are also available to borrow. ________________________________________ Other Fishing: Possibility of fishing from land or boat according to current rules. Guests are responsible for any fishing permits. Pets: Up to 2 pets per stay (fee €25). Pets must not be left alone in the cabin or stay in furniture without protection. Having your own blanket or bedding is recommended. A self-service store is located about 6.5 km away and is open 24 hours a day. RV parking is available for €30 (only for the cabin guests' group). A travel cot (smaller model) and high chair are available to borrow if needed – please request in advance. ________________________________________ Check-in Self check-in is via a lockbox.
