Bed and Berries

Welcome to bed and berries !. Experience simple sustainable living and a tranquil island holiday. Pick your own berries and fruit for your own consumption ( season from end June to end September)and maybe bring back your own homemade jam.Expect a red brick house in the middle of the island with a wild forest permaculture garden ,constantly evolving. Close neighbours are the local school/community house and the local blacksmith.Behind the school you will find a small forest for daily walks. The space You can go for walks in the immediate surrounding. However, to get the full island experience , I recommend you to rent bikes on the island. There are small blue flag (clean water) sandy beaches around the island, the major beach is 5 km away and has a bathing bridge.Do not, however, expect the wide sandy beaches of the North Sea, due to weather conditions we often have seaweeds coming in, however, the water is crystal clear.The house has all the usual modern amenities, however, no dish washer, because the view from the kitchen window across the field towards the sea is stunning, particularly when the sun sets. This is slow living.On rainy days you can enjoy the view of the graden from a large indoor patio.
