Along the fjord we recommend the Selsåsvika sandy beach. For anglers, a trip to Ålfjorden is worthwhile. Boats can be rented at Victors Nature Park, 12km from the house. Also worth a visit is Ryvarden Culture Lighthouse with gallery and café. Sveio offers everything from stores, restaurants, spa and one of the best golf courses on the west coast. Haugesund is 30 minutes away. Day trips include Stavanger, Prekestolen, Bergen, Hardanger (Trolltunga) and the Folgefonna glacier. In winter there is a nice ski area in Selvestad.
