The house features a sustainable passive design that maximises energy efficiency through expansive north-facing windows, which allow sunlight to penetrate and warm the polished concrete floors. These floors serve as thermal mass, absorbing heat during the day and gradually releasing it at night to maintain a stable indoor temperature. To enhance thermal comfort and energy efficiency, all bedrooms are fitted with plantation shutters that insulate the windows. For extra comfort during colder months, there is a slow combustion fireplace in the central living room; and each large bed is equipped with an electric blanket.
