Charming cottage in a village in the countryside

Welcome to our cozy cottage – perfect for those who long for quiet days and want to experience the genuine Dalarna. Stay in a well-equipped cabin with a made bed, surrounded by red Dalagård houses, open meadows and beautiful nature. With proximity to Carl Larsson's home, Falu Mine and Falun, this is a perfect starting point for those who want to explore Dalarna. Due to the great interest and increasing number of guests for our cottage, we no longer offer breakfast. The space Here you live at our old Dalagård in a beautiful cultural landscape with open meadows, red farmhouses and a working farm. Tractors working in the fields, cows grazing in the meadows and the changing seasons create a peaceful and authentic environment. At the same time, you're close to some of Dalarna's most popular destinations, such as the Carl Larsson Farm in Sundborn and the Falu Mine in the center. The cottage is well equipped with a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom – everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether you come for just one night or a longer vacation. There is a TV screen with Chromecast for cozy evenings, and in the bedroom there is AC so that you sleep cool and comfortably, even on hot summer nights. When you get here, the bed is made and the towels will be waiting for you. Outside the cottage is a cozy garden where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning sun or light the grill and enjoy the long, bright summer evenings in our simple barn lounge. As part of country life, there are free-range hens that sometimes peek by, a rooster that crows in the mornings, and our dog that wanders around nearby and keeps a watchful eye on the farm. Right outside the door, beautiful walking paths stretch through flowering meadows, open fields and the idyllic valley village. Regardless of the season, the surroundings offer scenic views and a wonderful feeling of calm and closeness to nature. The swimming area is only a short and easy walk away, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip and nice summer days by the water. Grocery store and some smaller dishes are within about 8 km, and if you want a larger selection of restaurants, shopping and culture, you can reach central Falun in about 20 minutes by car (about 20 km). There are also good bus connections to Falun, Svärdsjö and Enviken. The bus stop is about 8 minutes away (about 800 meters). A warm welcome! 🌿 Guest access As a guest you have the whole cottage all to yourself. We live in a house a little further down on the property, while the cottage is located slightly elevated at the top of the property next to the gravel village road. The property includes a clean bed, towels and cleaning after your stay, so you can just relax and enjoy. Just outside the cottage is a small garden with outdoor furniture and a lawn. There is also a charcoal grill and a simple covered lounge area that you are welcome to use during your stay.
