Guest house in a rural area (an old orchard): kitchen, bathroom, high ceilings, spacious sleep loft. Located on Österlen between Kivik and Simrishamn, near beaches, forests, Skåneleden, Stenshuvud National Park, hills w/ amazing views, golf courses, restaurants, art galleries and markets. The space The guest house is built with natural materials. Open floor plan with living space and bathroom downstairs and sleep loft upstairs. High ceilings in the living area, tall windows and two skylights make the space bright. Slate floors downstairs and wooden floors upstairs. * Your own kitchen – 2 burners, full oven, fridge, sink, coffee maker, water boiler, and of course the essential equipment for cooking * Your own bathroom - sink, toilet, shower * Your own patio - facing southwest, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun. You can also use our shared patio in the cobble stone courtyard between the two houses – perfect for breakfast in the morning sun. * Your own entrance - with parking around the corner * Two tiered sleep loft – you will be able to sleep up here very comfortably in beds with natural materials, but you CANNOT walk upright. There are 2 twin beds (90 cm) as well as a kingsized bed (2x90 cm) upstairs. * Baby bed with linen available to use during your stay. Please note that the staircase to the sleep loft is NOT safe for young children. Children are welcome but we do not guarantee a child proof environment. * We heat the houses and hot water with solar panels (and wood when the sun is not strong enough) Guest access You stay in the guest house located next to our main house. You have your own patio facing west. The court yard between the two houses is shared space for us and our guests. Other things to note Is this house right for you? Yes, if you want to experience the natural beauty of Österlen and enjoy walking in the woods or on the beach. Some of our guests enjoy biking while others prefer playing golf on the nearby golf course. This is a quiet rural location where you hear more birds, cows and wind than cars and people. If you are looking for vibrant night life and shopping or if you want to stay right on the beach, our location is not a good fit for you. We do not serve breakfast to our guests - instead you have a well equipped kitchen and comfortable dining space to provide your own breakfast. Most of our guests arrive by car, but some of our guests arrive by train/bus, bike and even hiking. The guest house has 4 beds and there is space for 4 people. However, it is better suited for a family than 2 couples since the beds are all in one sleep loft and the bathroom has a curtain/drapery instead of a lockable door for space reasons. The beds are upstairs so if you have problems with the stairs at night, this might not be a good fit for you. We do have curtains on the first floor which provide privacy. For the skylights on the loft we have blackout blinds. However, we do not have curtains for the tall windows, so complete darkness is not possible.
