Banda Porini - Bush Hut on Wasini Island

Banda Porrini is enclosed by dense indigenous bush and you can hear the sounds of monkeys and the crashing Indian Ocean waves. Although you do not have sea view, the private beach on the cliffs is just about 20 m away. A simple but cozy place. The space A solar installation caters for lighting and charging of small electronic equipment such as phones and cameras (24/7). Please note that the installation is, however, not suitable for high-energy consuming devices such as e.g. electric cooler boxes. Since there is no ground water on the island, its inhabitants have to entirely rely on rainwater collected in communal cisterns. Hence, fresh water is a scarce commodity. Attached to the bush hut is a private urine-eco-toilet and shower area. A private, conventional flush toilet (using sea water) is in the common bath house in a distance of approx. 15 m. Guest access Banda Porrini shares a large compound, a restaurant on a roof top terrace, and a private sand beach on the cliffs including boat jetty with Blue Monkey Beach Cottages. A maximum of 6 other guests guarantees peace and privacy for everyone. Other things to note We only accept Kenyan Shilling CASH payments (for meals, drinks, excursions etc). Please note that Wifi is only available intermittently and on request but smartphones with Safaricom SIM card have a very good connection. Such a SIM card is available for a nominal fee at any one of the many Safaricom outlets on the mainland.
