Apartment by the city park #2

Our apartment is in the best location on the outskirts of Ilmenau in the Bäderviertel. The city center is a 3-minute walk away and you can also reach the Festhalle and the city park in less than 5 minutes on foot. From there you can go on various hikes through the Thuringian Forest (e.g. to the Kickelhahn or to Manebach). The space Our 108 m² apartment is located on the 2nd floor of our house. You can get to the apartment via your private entrance and hallway with a large wardrobe and seating. The apartment was completely newly built in 2010 and completely renovated in 2020 and partially renovated in 2024. In the courtyard you will find seating, table and gas grill. Here you can have breakfast or spend a relaxing barbecue evening. The apartment has two bedrooms equipped with double beds. In the very spacious, light-flooded daylight bathroom, you will find a large shower as well as a large bathtub that invites you to relax. The high-quality, very large kitchen with real wood countertop and bar with seating for 2 people is adjoined by the living area with a large dining table for up to 6 people and a cozy sofa area with 2 sofas. In the living area, in addition to various games, you will also find a 55-inch smart TV with a sound bar, which you can also use to enjoy music from your devices via Bluetooth. There is also a Nintendo switch with various games (e.g. Mario Kart). With the smaller sofa, the backrests can be lowered electrically, here a 5th person can sleep comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, coffee machine, oven, microwave, etc. Here you can easily prepare more elaborate dishes or bake cakes. Furthermore, in the kitchen you will find a large side-by-side refrigerator with ice cube dispenser, freezer compartment and water dispenser. Next to the living area there is an office with a large desk and a second screen, where you can work comfortably and efficiently. In the boiler room on the ground floor, a washing machine and dryer are available. Our house has a fiber optic Internet connection with 300 Mbps and a Unifi network with several Wi-Fi access points, so fast Internet is always available everywhere. Other things to note In Naumannstraße you will usually always find a free parking space, if this is not the case you can park in the driveway. The nearest supermarket is also less than 5 minutes away. In the city center you will find various shops, restaurants and bars as well as a cinema and the Goethe Museum. In our street you will also find the restaurant Bahnhof Bad on whose large terrace you can enjoy a delicious pizza or a juicy steak. The very nice outdoor pool "Hammergrund" can be reached in approx. 10 minutes on foot or less than 5 minutes by car or bike. The swimming pool and ice rink can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot or less than 5 minutes by car or bike. A variety of cultural events and concerts take place in the Festhalle throughout the year. The city park, which has been renovated in recent years with ponds, beautiful paths and a large fountain, invites you to walk, linger and relax. Location of Ilmenau The city of Ilmenau can be reached quickly via the quiet A71 highway and, as a jewel in the Thuringian Forest, offers a variety of sights and excursion destinations nearby. In addition, Ilmenau is the ideal starting point for excursions to Erfurt, Weimar, Suhl or Oberhof, for example. Leisure opportunities A few minutes' walk away, the Rennsteigbahn departs on the weekend with which you can take a trip to the Rennsteig. The Ilmtalradweg [Ilm Valley Cycle Path] runs just a few meters away and offers beautiful bike tours along the Ilm to Weimar, the Geratalweg [Geratal Trail] leads you to Erfurt. For mountain biking, you will find a variety of trails in Ilmenau and the surrounding area, and a trail park has just been set up on the nearby Lindberg, which is being continuously expanded (sometimes also with shuttle service on weekends).
