Welcome to The Sanctuary, located in the heart of Ashover, Derbyshire. The Sanctuary has a private entrance, off road parking & is a stones throw away from 3 Pubs, Farm Shop, Cafe, Post Office & Tuck shop. Enjoy exploring the delights of the Village & beautiful Derbyshire local area then relax in the Wood fired Swedish Hot Tub, enjoy complimentary robes & 1000 Thread count Luxury Cotton sheets, we welcome you to relax & unwind in this special part of the World. The space A lovely, private space with Bistro set to the front door garden to enjoy during your stay. The entrance is via a separate door to the property and from the private parking spaces. The property is all on 1 floor which flows uninterruptedly throughout. With entrance lobby, Highly Specified Kitchen and Bathroom, drench shower with piping hot water. The main living area is light and has an open feel and benefits from a remotely controlled Velux – that can be operated without leaving your plush Double Bed with Simba Luxury Mattress. The lounge area has large sliding doors that frame panoramic views of the local hillsides and woodland, the doors open onto a decked area which is private. The whole space has Wi fi and a Smart TV. The courtyard containing a Wood Burning Swedish hot tub, Bistro set, perfect for Al Fresco Drinks or dining and many beautiful calming plants, Jasmines, Lavenders and Ferns… There is a Bike Wash area to the front of the property and the Roller Garage is available at no extra cost for bike storage if required, just message on booking to arrange a remote to be left for you, so you can come and go as required. You can choose to either cook and eat-in at the cottage (we have the Ashover Farm Shop close by) as well as Stamp post office/coffee shop (breakfast and lunch Monday through to Saturday) and the three local pubs - The Old Poet's Corner, the Crispin Inn and the Black Swan. The Tuck Shop in the village provides milk, bread, eggs, local ice cream and you can eat in or take away their delicious home-made cakes. You are fifteen minutes from Chatsworth House and Baslow, twenty minutes from Bakewell and just eight minutes from Matlock/Matlock Bath. There are many other wonderful attractions on your doorstep, from more Country Houses, Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall, adventures and Water sports at Carsington Water, with The Long shaw Estate - (recently features on Spring watch) again only 25 minutes away. You will find many wonderful countryside walks and public footpaths right here in Ashover with access by foot to 3 more Pubs and more coffee shops. Guest access This is a self-contained space. The Front and Back Courtyards are yours to enjoy, and private patio garden area are yours to enjoy during your stay. Other things to note Please note that you are in the heart of the village, so it is important that you are respectful of the neighbours, so we ask for quieter noice levels at 10PM. Well behaved small/medium sized dogs welcome, they can come and say hello to Norman our very placid Labrador. We live in the attached property as a working family with 2 young lads and a Labrador.
