House Barbara is a boutique four-star accommodation located in the old town center of Celje, a city with nearly 900 years of history. This newly constructed building was designed to resemble the 19th-century home that once stood on the same spot. It offers a peaceful inner terrace where guests can sit and relax. The house stands beside the medieval city wall and is connected to the historic Water Tower by an arched passage. Remarkably, it is built within what used to be the city’s defensive moat, adding to the historical character of your stay. All major sights, including museums, landmarks, cafés, bars, and restaurants, are within easy walking distance. Located right by the Savinja River, you’re immediately on the city’s scenic promenade – perfect for a walk across the bridge to the lush city park and forest paths, or under the avenue of century-old plane trees leading to the summer swimming pool. Modernly furnished with thoughtful details that nod to the building’s 19th-century roots, House Barbara offers six individually designed rooms and one apartment. Both the train and bus stations are just a short walk away, making your stay both convenient and inspiring. Guest access Parking upon arrival: In front of the house, there is a blue zone where you can park if space is available. The parking fee is paid at the public parking meter. There is also a space in front of the entrance where you can stop briefly to unload your luggage. If you prefer, you can use a private parking lot nearby (€10 per day). The parking card to access it will be waiting for you on the table in your room. The parking area has three separate sections: - The first parking area is public. - The second and third parking areas are private. - Your parking spot is located in the last (third) parking area, where the card opens two consecutive barriers. Please make sure to park only in the last parking area, as parking in the first or second area is not covered by this card and must be paid separately. The walk back to the house takes only 3 minutes. During your stay Our reception is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During this time, we are available to assist you in person with anything you may need. Outside of reception hours, you can reach us by phone or through the Airbnb app, and we will do our best to respond promptly. We're here to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!
