This stone cottage is located close to the village of Pooley Bridge and can sleep two people. Townhead Cottage is a stone cottage in a rural location, five miles from the village of Pooley Bridge. The cottage sleeps two people and has one double bedroom and a bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and logburner. Outside is a garden and roadside parking. Situated in the Lake District National Park, Townhead Cottage is a lovely romantic cottage all year round. Please note that for any stay between 28/4/23 and 9/5/23, the fireplace will not be in operation and cannot be used. There will be a logburner installed from 9/5/23. Amenities: Oil central heating with open fire(logs can be purchased locally). Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. Power inc. in rent. Logs for fire are not included. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair on request. Roadside parking. Lawned gardens with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 5 miles. Town: The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed.
