What a cosy and scenic spot this is, just outside of the Peak District National Park… Set in the Derbyshire Dales, Skyline Retreat has a small set of camping pods with views down and over the sloping countryside. There are plenty of walks right within striking distance of the site for keen hikers. The space What should you bring with you? Towels, cooking utensils and bed linen are some important bits to pack. Each well-kept pod has its very own firepit, barbecue, mini fridge and kettle for cooking and an outdoor bench to provide a space for tucking in alfresco-style. A log basket with logs, kindling sticks and firelighters can be provided for an additional fee (just select this as an extra when you book). Each pod has a double sofa bed along with a smart TV, which should come in handy for catching up on TV shows (if you have any moment to spare…). The site has shared bathroom facilities with one shower cubicle and a second cubicle housing a toilet and a hand-washing basin. There’s also an allocated parking space put aside for each pod.
