The most striking feature of the home however, is the remarkable use of three massive jarrah wooden poles, repurposed from the original Port of Albany jetty and now supporting an extraordinary wide balcony stretching across the front of the home. From this beautiful stretch of balcony, guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the old growth Karri trees that stand between the home and the sheltered waters of Princess Royal Harbour, offering opportunities to birdwatch, paint, write, read and dine alfresco, or simply enjoy a sundowner while marvelling the changing colours across the majestic sky and trees. It might be tempting to stay home all day, but the outdoors beckons. Swimming, sailing, fishing and picnicking activities are literally just a stroll away - and for the more adventurous types, Little Grove is a gateway to explore Albany's rich history, from the National Anzac Centre and Whaling Station to the picturesque walking trails of Torndirrup National Park, and the ancient Porongurups.
