The Upper Deck

Enjoy views of the ocean from the deck, kitchen and lounge, and a northerly aspect out to the escarpment and Royal National Park. Check the surf with a fresh brew in your hand. Or simply take a moment to watch the whales frolick and the Sea Eagles sore from the sun drenched deck. This quiet oasis is only a short walk to surf beaches, ocean pools, forests, bike paths, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The 2 bedroom unit is nestled above our family home, but is a private sanctuary for your stay. The space The Upper Deck is a private area, which sits above our family home with expansive views of breaking waves and the escarpment. The unit is fully self contained, with a complete functioning kitchen, including dishwasher, oven, and a Nespresso machine. The main bedroom has ample storage with views out to the escarpment, and a second bedroom contains a single bed and bunk bed (3 beds in total). Should you require additional bedding, the lounge also converts into a double bed. The unit ideally suits 1 x couple and 3 children. The ocean is literally across the road. Beach access is merely a 3min walk to reach sand and surf. We have numerous rock pools to explore or breaking waves to swim and surf in. Find a sheltered spot for the little ones, or head to some of the best breaks in the Illawarra for a surf. Walk a little further and you will find patrolled beaches and ocean pools. The options are endless. The property is accessible via our driveway, and up a set of stairs at the rear of the main house. Please note the driveway is steep. Parking is available on the street level, approximately 20m from the unit. Within a 5min short walk there is also Headlands Hotel (open for breakfast lunch and dinner) Tennis court Playground Boat ramp (suitable for small boats) Fish cleaning table Picnic shelters/tables with views Petrol station and convenience store. Within a 10-15min walk there are Patrolled beaches and Ocean Pools Numerous Cafes Coledale RSL Please note while we will do our best to keep noise to a minimum, we have a family who may use the backyard during your stay. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire apartment and adjoining deck. When returning from the beach, they are also welcome to utilise the outdoor hot shower at the rear of the main house. There is strictly no access to: the main house, rear of the property, play equipment , grassed and garden area, garage or undercover area. Other things to note Please note that the unit is located above our family home. While we will endeavour to keep noise to a minimum you may hear us out in the yard from time to time.
