Charming bed and breakfast
Description
Nestled in the outbuilding of a 19th-century manor house, our guest room and its private bathroom welcome you with a blend of historic charm and rural serenity, just 15 minutes from the heart of Orléans. Breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room adorned with painted woodwork and overlooking a large, tree-filled garden. You'll find here a refreshing stopover and an authentic getaway for a break in the Loire Valley. The space The outbuilding is located just a few meters from the main house and offers exclusive access for a tourist getaway—whether you're cycling the Loire à Vélo, exploring castles, enjoying water sports on the Loire, or discovering the natural and river heritage of the Loire Valley, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can unwind in the garden on a deckchair or in a hammock, explore the former Loire mariners’ village of Combleux just 3 minutes away, and follow the towpath on foot or by bike along the Loire's meanders, heading toward Chécy, Bou, or Châteauneuf-sur-Loire—or downstream to Orléans! Canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy in this landscape of water and nature. The bedroom is typical of the grand houses along the Loire, with high ceilings, moldings, and a (decorative) fireplace. It has a private, direct entrance to the bathroom. This is an old house, offering a unique style that blends rustic elegance with a touch of carefree countryside charm, embracing the beauty of time-worn textures and graceful imperfections. The historic center of Orléans is just 8 km away and can be reached in 15 minutes by car or by bike, following the scenic cycle route along the Loire lateral canal, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the river, village rooftops, and the spires of Orléans Cathedral.
