The Rafters
Experience a little country in the city. Originally a family owned feed store, The Rafters has exposed hand built rough cut rafters in the ceiling, original wood floors and a tin roof. Horses, chickens and other farm animals are on the property as well. Southern Arkansas University (SAU) is five minutes away. The historic square which is home to the annual Magnolia Blossom Festival World Championship Steak Cook Off and local shops and restaurants are just a three minute walk. Guest will have full access to the entire apartment. Guest will have full access to the entire apartment. My wife and I are easy to talk to and available by phone or email anytime. We would be happy to answer any questions about the place and/or the area. We are usually no more than 15 minutes away. We live in the apartment next door. We love the proximity to town and the Historic down town square. We also love the modern industrial/rustic feel of the building and the fact that it was once a family owned feed store. The building is next to a car wash so music from cars can be heard from time to time. If I had to name a downside that would be it. I’m a country person and that’s probably the only reason I notice it. There is an eight foot privacy fence between the car wash and the apartment though. Parking is available behind the building. Magnolia is easy to drive in. So, your personal vehicle will be easy to get around town in. Parking is free all over town and there is normally no problem finding parking spaces wherever you go. We will not be available to cook meals. We will have a couple of menus from local restaurants available inside the apartment.
