Five bed family Seatown haven
Five bed family Seatown haven
Description
Welcome to Little Orchard, a stylish family home on the Jurassic Coast. Based in Seatown, we are walking distance to the sea. An overwhelming sense of light and spaciousness is enjoyed in the property which has been renovated to maximise inside-out living and views of the rolling hills all around. With generous living accommodation for families across five bedrooms, four bathrooms with an open plan living room, kitchen and dining room, there is plenty of space to relax and take in the views. The space Little Orchard is located down a quiet lane, leading to the beach. The 1960's house has been renovated internally and has a generous mature garden with two outdoor seating areas to enjoy the best of the morning and evening sun. Downstairs enjoys lots of light and stylish fittings, an open plan living area and kitchen with large glass doors leading to the garden both front and back. In addition, there is a downstairs toilet and shower room, office, utility room and large bedroom with kingsize bed. The dining table can host 8 adults, also 4 stools at the breakfast bar. There are a couple of kids' tables and stools available also, and a high chair. Upstairs is more quirkily designed, with a large master bedroom with kingsize bed and luxury ensuite. A second bedroom with kingsize bed is serviced by a stylish family bathroom atop the stairs. Through a corridor and feeling quite separate is a large room with twin beds, and another small double. There is also a cute kids bathroom with bath tub and electric shower. Recap of sleeping arrangements : Downstairs: - Kingsize bedroom. Shower and toilet next door. First floor: - Master with ensuite and kingsize bed. - Second bedroom with kingsize bed. Family shower room across the hall. First floor, through the corridor: - Large twin room - Small double room - Daybed - Kids bathroom (I say kids, because this bathroom has not been renovated with the fancy fittings and has a bathtub but is perfectly pleasant) Garden Seating: A sofa set on the deck to enjoy the morning sun (photos to come) An 8 seater dining area in the front garden to catch the evening sun (more photos to come) We are fortunate to be in a lovely quiet neighbourhood within a ten minute walk to the beach (longer for little legs!), with many walking trails right from the door. Our favourite is the Golden Cap loop with a stop at the famous Anchor Inn pub mid way - as featured in the Sunday Times and the Evening Standard. This is a quiet neighbourhood and the house will be available to families who want to enjoy the peace it has to offer. We ask that guests come inside at 9pm. No parties or amplified music, thank you! Guest access The entire home. Except the conservatory which we are storing garden tools. Other things to note There is a large deck outside the the kitchen bifold doors. There is a hand rail around the highest point but most of it does not have a handrail. It's about a meter off the grass. We have small children and haven't had any problems however it's something to watch out for with little walkers. There is a trampoline which guests can use at their own risk. The electric shower can be slow to react to temperature control changes so please check with your hand before hosing down the children. The upstairs has not yet been carpeted so the wooden boards are a little rustic in places! It adds a certain charm of its own!
