🌾Wake up to nothing but your biological clock – no traffic or noise, just the sound of the wind in the trees, whistling birds and scratching chicks in the garden. In our pleasant, fully furnished apartment in an authentic Frisian farmhouse, you will stay on the historic Turfroute in one of the most beautiful places in Friesland. Surrounded by water, forest, meadow and animals, with your own entrance and spa. Come to clear your head, ground your feet and let your energy flow🙏 The space 🛌 For whom? For solo or duo travelers looking for a place to really unwind. With the possibility of using the wellness center (for a fee) as a retreat, a writer's retreat or a base for horseback riding, hiking and/or cycling. And as a vacation spot with your own horse. 🌿 What can you expect? • The apartment (65 m2) is located in the annex/back house of the farmhouse. With its own entrance, bathroom, kitchen, parking space and garden. Separate bedroom with a lovely double bed (width 180) The farm is located on a dead-end road. Surrounded by meadows, water, and forests • Animals On our property, you will find chickens, free-range ducks, cats, goats, sheep, horses and our sweet dogs. But also hedgehogs in the garden, deer and storks in the meadow, butterflies in the bushes and geese flying overhead. • Private wellness: the hot tub and sauna can be booked separately or as a package (for a fee) There is a (cold) outdoor shower and fire pit, and there are sunbeds and comfortable seats available. • Breakfast and dinner It is possible to book a delicious full breakfast or to eat with "the gang." From April to October, you can also book a fully catered pizza evening (everything on request) • Massage, meditation and yoga Enjoy a relaxing or Ayurvedic oil massage. Or a massage, meditation or yoga session among the animals! Feel free to ask about the possibilities. • Horses On our property, a session with our horses and ponies is also possible in consultation – for those who are looking for a deeper experience, or just want to connect with these beautiful animals. I'd be happy to tell you more about this. • The Feart Outside the door is the Feart (waterway) Here you can splash around after the sauna, swim and paddle board in summer, and with a little luck, you can skate in winter! • Lots of nice places to sit Have breakfast or drink coffee under the stretch tent in the ornamental garden, by the horse paddock or by the Feart (waterway); • Direct access to 108 cycling routes (source: cycling network), various bridle paths, and the Turfroute (105 km of pleasure boating); • Available: SUP boards, charging station for electric bikes, BBQ, fire basket and bowl, firewood, fine wines and sparkling wine 🌌 Why here? Here you can still find real silence. No light pollution, no highways, just a starry sky like in rural France, and that's right in the Netherlands. 🗺️ And yet, the "city" is within reach: just 30 minutes from Groningen and Leeuwarden. Nice villages nearby: Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag, Appelscha and Gorredijk. Guest access 🏡 The apartment is fully self-contained. That is, private entrance, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. In addition, you have your own parking space (for car and/or bicycles) and your own piece of garden. 🔥Other locations and facilities such as the garden, pizza oven, BBQ, seats, animal shelter and stables are shared in consultation with the residents. 🧘‍♀️The private wellness (hot tub and/or sauna) can be booked exclusively. Ask about the possibilities! Other things to note 🐾 Our animals Our place is a paradise where we have collected many animals around us. The animals do not enter the apartment, but we cannot 100% promise "free of cat or dog hair". Don't expect a sleek and perfect apartment but a nice, cozy, warm and loving place. 🐴 Your animals On request, we would like to take home and companion animals into consideration. We always take into account the existing pack and herd. Extra charge: 25 euros per stay 👧🏼 Children Our apartment and property are not set up for children. We cannot guarantee safety. A stay with a maximum of one baby (up to 1 year old) is allowed. In that case, the baby will stay with the parents in the bedroom. A camping crib and baby bath are available on request. Extra charge: 20 euros per stay 🌺 Noise With us you will find peace. Should you like to fill that silence with loud music or other noise, we are not the best place for you, unfortunately. 🐓 Farm No tram, hotters or rumors here. At most, a farmer on a tractor, a rooster chirping, a barking dog in the distance, or a sheep barking. One sound is not the other.
