Casa la Mer is self catering, PET FRIENDLY, waterfront villa on the slopes of the Witwatersrand mountain, overlooking Hartbeespoort dam. Walk to water 60m. Please remember that you will need a higher type of car to get there, as the last 2km is very rocky. A normal sedan will definitely get damaged. A true nature lovers paradise! Heated swimming pool, fireplace, DSTV, Hiking, fishing. This is a quiet and tranquil place, lots of birdlife, go for walks - hiking trails in the bush and much more. The space Enjoy cocktails next to the pool, while the fire is getting ready for the braai. Relax on the pier while fishing. Lovely hiking trails up into the mountain, or even mountain biking. More than 40 indigenous trees has been identified on the land. Amazing birdlife! If you just want to relax, make yourself comfortable on the couch and watch DSTV! Big main bedroom, en-suite with king size bed 2nd Bedroom with 2 three quarter beds and bathroom Upstairs loft room with 5 single beds. (no bathroom upstairs) Enjoy an epic, idyllic, relaxing and unique family/friends breakaway. Remember to bring a leash for your dogs, and look after them, as they might wander off. Small children also need constant watching as the pool is open and property leads to the water. Last 2 km ONLY ACCESSIBLE BY a "higher" car, bakkie, or 4X4/SUV!! Guest access The entire villa and surrounding areas. Access to the dam for fishing, hiking trails, 4x4 trail up the mountain with beautiful lookout points over the dam. We have a private heated pool, outside braai, fireplace. This is a very private house which only accommodates the one group of friends or family that booked their time here. The caretaker will be available if you phone him. No loud parties are allowed, the sound travels across the water to Vil d'Afrique. Other things to note SuperSpar and pharmacy 5km before you reach the house. make sure to get all your supplies. once at the house you wouldn't want to leave ! CASA LA MER HOUSE RULES Please note that we have strict house rules in place as this is a nature conservation area. 1. No noise or loud music outside after 10pm. Take your music inside and enjoy ! The noise travels across the water to Vill'd Afrique, and they also need their peace and quiet. 2. No glass glasses to be taken outside, we have nice plastic glasses for outside. We know you are not kids, but we don’t want you to feel embarrassed about breaking our stuff 3. Keep the place neat as you found it. Or at least try… 4. Use rubbish bins for rubbish. Remember, if you flush any weird stuff down the toilet, you might not be able to use it for the remainder of your stay….but don’t worry you can always run into the bush ..... 5. Please treat the house and everything inside as you would your own. 6. Please don’t burn our house and surroundings down.... 7. Smoking only allowed outside, use ashtrays provided. 8. No extra visitors, other than specified with your booking are allowed to enter the property. 9. Breaking of any of these rules can cause a Fine of R1,000 and you will be asked to leave the premises immediately, without refund.
