Danu Garden Annex
Danu Garden Annex
Description
A calm and cosy suburban ground-floor apartment adjoining the owners house where 3 friendly dogs & 2 cats live. Off-street parking, private entrance and garden area. Located on a quiet street only 1.2 km from Stormont parliament buildings, 4 km from city airport and 2 km from the vibrant Ballyhackamore area of east Belfast with a short walk to city centre bus routes. Named after the Irish goddess who embodies the creative and nurturing aspects of womanhood. It has a creative, feminine vibe. The space The annex is a newly renovated space attached to my own house with its own keyed access. It has a small but well-equipped kitchen area with mini-fridge and ice drawer, air-fryer, induction hob and microwave. The breakfast bar has space for two people dining. Teas and coffee and some other basic cooking provisions are provided. The bedroom, bathroom and walk-in wardrobe are accessed from the kitchen. The bedroom has a comfy European double bed, dressing table, spacious hidden storage for suitcases and large under-bed drawers for additional storage. There’s also a good-sized l-shaped sofa where guests can relax, read a book from the library shelf or watch the television. The sofa may be converted to a bed if requested in advance (in which case, additional bedding will be provided). Alternatively, a travel cot can also be supplied but not in combination with use of the sofa bed. This means the annex can accommodate a small family group or two guests who don’t want to share the double bed. Whilst the Annex listing is for a max. of 2 people, I am happy to consider additional guests if suitable. Please contact me in advance of booking if you would like to arrange this. The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, washbasin, towels and toiletries. The walk-in wardrobe has ample hanging space for clothes and coats. Guests also have access to a private courtyard with an outdoor table and chairs which catches evening sun. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the annex and attached courtyard. The walk-in wardrobe is attached to the main house via a door which will remain locked during your stay and guests are requested to keep the wardrobe door closed to maintain their own privacy and mine. Guests are welcome to park in the driveway, which has space for two cars, so please park considerately to leave enough space for my own car too. Other things to note The animals do not have any access to the Annex and it has been newly renovated with fresh furnishings. However, the Annex is attached to my house where two dogs and cats live. Therefore, the Annex is not suitable for people with severe pet allergies. The dogs will probably bark when you or I arrive, at the excitement of breakfast time and for the postman but they are otherwise calm and always very friendly. You may see the cats, but they are typical cats, aka aloof, so if they are more friendly towards you that is a massive compliment! The dogs may wake up when you do if it’s earlier than me!
