Nostalgic and cozy living room with unique location

Description

The historic house shows the year 1773 painted on the walls. The house was originally located in the village's cluster yard and was bombed during World War II. When the farm building was erected on the farm, the remains of the house were set up as a living room until the barn and today appears as an intimate and cozy little house with lots of history and soul. All amenities are of course completely modern. The house in the middle of the valley, down towards the fjord and at the innermost part of Høgsfjorden provides an unforgettable holiday in this old living room. The space The rooms have a historical feel from both the origin and several reconstructions. The house has been recently renovated and great emphasis has been placed on retaining the original. The house is decorated with objects of high historical value for both the village and the farm the house is part of. All facilities in the house are modern and the house has a high degree of comfort. The house has 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, charming living room with wood stove and dining table. On the second floor there are 2 bedrooms. 1 double bed of 160x200 in one room. 2 built-in beds of 90x200 in the other room. Direct exit to the terrace on the ground floor with seating area where the evenings can be spent enjoying the amazing sunsets Dirdal is known for in the summer months. The house is located as part of an old farmyard. The house is part of a larger farm building that until recently has been used for the animals on the farm. A new barn has now been built about 1 km further up and the building is therefore empty. In the courtyard there is also "Kårboligen" which is rented out long-term. There is a short distance (about 200m) to one of Norway's most beautiful and best farm shops. (Operated by the owners of the unit) Here it is possible to rent a sauna with the same panoramic view. In the other direction (about 100m) is the marina. Here it is possible to rent a boat for excursions or fishing. Right beyond the marina is Dirdalselva. A very popular river to fish for big salmon. Dirdal is a beautiful place at the innermost part of Høgsfjorden and is the perfect starting point for memorable hikes in the area. In addition, Dirdal is located between the famous trips to Preikestolen and Kjerag. It is about 50 km drive to Stavanger and only a few km to beautiful Byrkjedal and Byrkjedalstunet Guest access Guests can use the natural part of the courtyard, terrace and lawn beyond the terrace. We want guests to show respect for the tenants in "Kårhuset" Visitors are not allowed to enter the garage, barn or shed. This is due to safety reasons.
