Perched over 1000m above sea level on 26 acres of rolling dairy pastures, Country Views Upper Barron is a lovingly restored farmhouse where time slows and country charm takes over. Only 15 minutes from Malanda and 25 minutes from Atherton, our property is the perfect base to explore the natural wonders of the Atherton Tablelands. Out front, a protected nature refuge is alive with wildlife—perfect for spotting native animals by day or under a blanket of stars at night. The space Our home blends classic country warmth with thoughtful modern touches. From every window, enjoy sweeping views—lush pastures dotted with cattle, towering hoop and Bunya pines, and untouched rain forest alive with birdsong. Upstairs: Open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge—ideal for family meals and cosy evenings. 3 spacious rooms, 1 with a king bed, the remaining two both with queen beds (space for additional foldaway beds in each room). A sunny office/sunroom—perfect for catching up on emails or simply soaking in the views, complete with a folding futon. Downstairs: 1 spacious room with a queen bed and space for 2x single foldaway beds. A second bathroom, toilet, and separate laundry. A recreational area with a BBQ—great for celebrations in any weather. Sleeps 8 guests comfortably, with space for up to 13 guests using foldaway beds and double futon. (100kg weight limited). Extra guests to be added during booking. Guest access Just off a sealed road with a gravel driveway marked by our Country Views Upper Barron sign. Undercover parking for one car plus extra parking on the gravel driveway. Guests are welcome to wander from the house to the nature refuge for unforgettable wildlife encounters. Other things to note Please Note Not toddler-friendly due to ungated stairs. Strictly no pets due to wildlife and livestock on the property. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Access to sheds, barns, or machinery is prohibited. We live on-site in the detached granny flat, so we’re nearby if you need any local recommendations or a hand with anything during your stay. Excessive cleaning may incur an extra charge.
