Duplex: East balcony and duplex in the tower

Start the day in the morning sun on the balcony and look out through small windows in all directions in the evening. An apartment on two floors, thoughtfully organized, with plenty of light, clear lines and surprising views. The space You enter the apartment via the large staircase of the caretaker's house. Through a front zone with a wardrobe and guest toilet you get to the kitchen. Behind it are the dining room and living area, with a fireplace and exit to the long east balcony. All three main rooms open to the east – overlooking the church, courtyard and morning mist. The enfilade gives depth, light and width. On the top floor, under the roof of the tower, there are two bedrooms – connected by an open hallway with a skylight bathroom. The northern room is quiet, almost shielded – overlooking the church square. The southern one has a small balcony at the top of the house: unobstructed view of the Komturei, fields, sky. Heated (and cooled in summer) via ceiling and underfloor heating. Clay plaster, clay paint, wood fiber insulation – as in all apartments of the Komturei, breathable and ecologically built. Guest access The sauna in the old vault of the caretaker's house is open to all guests. Other things to note If you fancy fresh local vegetables and fruit, order an organic box from Grünland aus Salzwedel. The delivery comes on Fridays, even before your arrival. In the closet under the stairs, there is a small house shop with fine food and drinks – such as apple juice from Mühlenberg, bread baking mix, honey, pasta, pesto and more. And if you like to browse, you may find a suitable book for a quiet hour in the shared bookshelf.
