Mountain cabin with lake property!

In a forest glade among tall pines and only 30m from Lake Ottsjön overlooking the slope of Ottfjället, you will find the cozy lake cottage! In all its simplicity, without running water and electricity, the house and surroundings have something completely unique to offer. The silence is palpable and you are far from everyday stress with proximity to fantastic hiking trails, the possibility of fishing and wonderful swimming. Here you can be on your own, but the cottage is only 2 km from Ottsjö with Ica, a newly-built sauna and rental boats. The space This charming log cabin with no electricity or running water offers total relaxation. From Ottsjö you can get by car, or why not bike, about 2 km via Bottenvallsvägen until a path leading down to the cabin (about 200 meters). For those who wish, it is also possible to get to the house by boat or kayak. In winter, it is not possible to drive all the way to the cabin as the road is not plowed, so the last bit of just under 2 km you can either get to the cabin on skis or we can arrange for a scooter ride at a smaller cost. The cottage has 5 beds. There is a smaller bedroom with a 120 cm bed and a bed in the same room that is of standard length but slightly narrower. In the living room, there are two more beds. In the corner sofa there is also space to make a smaller bed for children, about 125 cm long. The beds are equipped with new pillows and duvets. You need to bring your own bed linens☺️ The house has a fully equipped kitchen and a new four-burner gas stove with oven, as well as a gas fridge (generally, the fridge is not on before the stay and needs to be turned on by the guest). Propane is available on site. There is a fireplace for cooler days, firewood not included but can be purchased inside the village. In winter, there is a propane heater. As mentioned, the cabin does not have electricity, but there are some battery-powered lights, kerosene lamps, and candles/heat lamps on site. However, please note that the lighting does not match that of a house with electricity, and the same applies to the type of comfort that newer houses offer🙂 In Ottsjö village you can rent boats and it is also possible to rent a kayak through Fjällkajakcenter, below the house there is a place to dock by boat/kayak. At the beach inside the village there is a newly built sauna for rent as well as a nice swimming jetty. In the unusually well-stocked Ica store, there is all possible information about trails or tips on excursions in the nearby area. For those who are interested in picking berries, there is a lingonberry and blueberry rice directly outside the house. In winter, there are endless cross-country tracks, either up in the mountains or in areas such as Trillevallen or Vålådalen. Not to forget, in the circles around Ottsjö and in Ottsjön there are very good fishing opportunities. You need to clean the cabin yourself and leave it in the same condition as when you arrived☺️ Four-legged friends are welcome 🐾 Other things to note Before the stay in the cabin, the guest needs to pick up the keys, lamps and a couple of jugs of drinking water at our address in Ottsjö, which is on the way to the cabin☺️
