Guest access Guests are checked in by a on-island property manager. Guests access the property through a locked gate and through a shared stair cases (w/ two other units). Other things to note Please review the Ultramar ferry schedule to Isla before booking your flights as boats do not run 24x7. Based on experience, recommend that you land no later than 8:00 p.m. in the evening & take off no earlier than 9:00 a.m. in the morning. On the way in, you'll need to account for time in Customs & baggage claim -- plus, your transfer to the ferry port. On the way out, you'll need to account for time on the ferry your transfer back to the airport. Many airlines require you be there three hours before take-off. Note, Airbnb’s COVID rules firmly apply to all bookings. Also note, the host is not responsible for weather and/or government related delays and/or cancellations. Additionally note, the host is not responsible for Isla´s infrastructure related challenges that can impact water supply, electricity and wifi without notice and/or without swift resolution. Getting to the property .and while there .. 1/ Take a transfer van from the airport to the Puerto Juarez ferry terminal. A service can be recommended following booking. The cost starts are $43 USD, excluding tip. It is advised not to exit the airport in a taxi. Note, the ride is 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. 2/ Purchase a roundtrip ferry ticket at the Puerto Juarez terminal. You can pay via credit card or cash -- pesos and US dollars are accepted. Note, ride is 18-20 minutes. 3/ Upon arriving on the Isla port, proceed to the taxi stand. A taxi stand. Advise the taxi driver to take you to Sotavento at Punta Sur, which is across from the ranch and The Joint. The cost is 120-150 pesos, and no more. Note, the ride is 10 minutes. 4/ A member of the Capi´s property management team will meet you at the property to let you in the gates and will help to get you oriented. Capi´s will be in touch a few days before travel and will provide you with details on how to stay in touch the day of. Communications are not complex but are absolutely necessary for a smooth checkin. 5/ Capi´s will be your primary contact throughout your stay. Signs on what to do and who to contact are within the condo as is a burner phone with pre-programmed contacts. It is important to note that the salty air environment and island infrastructure (roads, water, electricity and wifi) and environment (strong sun, wind, salty air and bugs) can present guests and residents with challenges here and there. Please plan and iterate accordingly.
