Fully renovated listed cottage
Fully renovated listed cottage
Description
Jackets Fields is a striking Grade II listed property recently renovated. Positioned at the top of White Hill, the cottage is surrounded by half a hectare of mature gardens and sits at the heart of King’s Wood in Challock (Kent). If you are looking for some peace and quiet with no neighbour, look no further. Inside, there are two double bedrooms - one with a private en-suite bathroom - and two additional single bedrooms. The interior blends character features with modern comforts. The space The cottage is almost 200 years old! So although it looks quite rustic and renovated, it is still very fragile: - The walls are lime plastered so they chip and mark very easily - The windows and glass (only 2mm thick!) break easily too! Just be aware and careful when opening the windows (especially the front ones).. The manual has all the details you need. Guest access details will be sent a few days before the arrival Other things to note The house is very old and in the middle of the woods so it is good to bear in mind that there is lots of wildlife such as - ladybirds and spiders inside the house - Bees, rabbits, mice, moles and squirrels in the garden - Deer crossing White Hill - Owls hooting at night..... - Ants We have also experimented water shortage coming from SouthEast Water a couple of times over the last year. They usually repair the issue fast and communicate regularly but it can take them a couple of days. I would recommend to bring some bottled water in case.
