Our quaint, cosy cottage is an idyllic retreat nestled on the southern slopes of the AONB hills in rural Somerset. Built between 1300–1600, this Grade II listed, thatched coach house, is rich in history and full of character, with breathtaking views stretching into the Quantocks, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills. Find videos online at the Middle Halsway Estate account The space Upon entering the cottage you arrive in the main living room, with a wall-mounted smart TV, sofa, armchair & glowing log burner. From there, you will find the snug writing room, equipped with a writing desk, books & a record player. Double patio doors lead to your own outdoor patio & lawn area surrounded by a babbling stream, that is immersed in local wildlife. There is also a fully kitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven & full cooking amenities. Lastly, find your cosy bedroom fitted with blackout curtains & a queen bed, plus a bathroom with shower, toilet & sink. Whether you’re relaxing by the fire, enjoying an evening drink in the garden, or exploring the nearby countryside, The Coach House offers a rare opportunity to experience medieval Somerset at its finest. When booking the cottage, you will have private access to the driveway, cottage & back garden of the cottage. Please note these areas are not fenced but are surrounded by a small stream. Guest access Driving down Halsway Lane, you will reach a blue gate with a sign for 'The Coach House'. Here is the only pedestrian & vehicle entry/exit for the property. There is space for 2 cars to park in the gravel driveway by the cottage. Other things to note There is no smoking anywhere on the premises due to the thatched roofs which have been lovingly preserved. There is a stream running through the outdoor garden, please be aware. There are some doorways in the property with low head room. This does not affect ceiling height in any of the rooms, just the doorways.
