English speakers welcome to the lush green mountains of Tokyo! My 2 boy Maine coon mix cats and I moved to the area and have been in love with the peaceful surroundings and clean air. You can find nature, a quiet place to work remote then go out to hike, raft down the river, climb the famous boulders or ride the cable car to Mount Mitake. I will take you places by car you wouldn’t otherwise get to. Long and short term availability. Up to 7 adults in 3 rooms. I can help you book excursions too. The space There is a traditional Japanese tatami room downstairs for those who don’t want to climb the stairs to the second floor. There is a half bath(toilet room) downstairs and a shower with bathtub along with kitchen and living area. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, two for rent. A second half bath can be found as well. One room is a traditional Japanese tatami room and the other is a western style room with two beds and a table and wooden flooring. The cats are only allowed in rooms without tatami floors. Guest access Kitchen, living room, bath, two toilet rooms, and yard are community rooms for all to use. During your stay While in the home we can speak in person or by phone either calling or messaging. Depending on the time of day and if I’m already in my room for night you’ll be able to message me via Airbnb app. Of course you can always knock on my bedroom door if needed. When out and about you can reach me by messaging apps . I recommend guests pay for a phone line and eSIM card so you have data to use while commuting and sightseeing or working/attending school. Other things to note I welcome English speakers! I can pick you up and drop you off. I can drive you places you want to stay in neighboring destinations like Mt Fuji or other prefectures. If you’d like a Japanese person to go with you I can be your gal! I ask that you pay for gas or whatever the expenses end up being. We can negotiate the details. If you need help booking activities please let me know! My home is a no alcohol area so please do not bring alcohol here. If you are not a cat person this is not the place for you. If you have not lived with cats before please refrain from complaining about them. Things can break so anything fragile and valuable should not be left out. Traditional tatami rooms are not for cats to avoid damage. Guests will be charged for any damage done if cats are found in the rooms. Japan is a country that practices safety all day everyday. Natural disasters happen. Please remember safety first! I do not allow drinking in my home or smoking. No weapons are allowed. I currently do not have locked rooms but will offer safes to lock small valuables into. I will not be responsible for any stolen items.
