Our Lake House Lost in the Countryside

It has been our country house for more than a decade, a place to rest, enjoy nature and connect with the basics. Near the town of Yaguara, in the State of Huila (Colombia), surrounded by rice crops, fishermen shacks, birds and humble and welcoming people. An experience we want to share with you as a foreigner who appreciates nature, landscapes and simple people in our unique place that has a style and incredible lake view (off course, depending on the season) The space Our house is 15 minutes away by bike or car from the town of Yaguara, surrounded by fishermen shacks, humble residents and a nice lake access. The lake's level varies constantly as the lake is used to power generation but when it is high, you can go to town by boat. You can take a walk or bike through the crops or by car visit the surrounding towns. Yaguara is a picturesque place with a preserved Colonial architecture, surrounded by rice crops, cattling farms and fantastic landscapes. Its people are kind, service oriented and always taking care of visitors. This is a perfect place to experience the real Colombia. Other things to note The Huila region is full of tourism attractions such as the Tatacoa's Desert, San Agustín and its archeological sites, and the town of Yaguara with the Cueva del Tigre with its natural pools and cascades.
