Mistley Thorn Mews is located in the historic Georgian port village of Mistley near Manningtree and is attached to the award-winning Mistley Thorn Hotel. Close to all amenities - fab restaurants, shops, galleries and station with mainline services to London Liverpool Street. Enjoy the best of nature on the Essex Way, woodland and riverside walks, as well as water sports. We are also close to the beautiful Dedham Vale and Beth Chatto's Garden. The space This Grade 2 Listed Georgian cottage has recently undergone a full refurb and is completely up-to-date with all the comfort that you could want for a relaxing stay. Owner Sherri is a chef and cookery teacher, so the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you need for entertaining or for just whipping up a simple meal. We supply mineral water, coffee, tea and milk as well as a welcome basket of snacks and treats from our shop, The Mistley Kitchen. If you don't fancy cooking, our award-winning restaurant at The Thorn is open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack and the bar serves real ales, cocktails and has a great wine list. Our sister restaurant, Lucca Enoteca, is a short stroll away and is renowned for the best wood-fired pizzas. The comfortable bedrooms both have kingsize beds with high thread count linen, hypoallergenic duvets, pillows and top quality Sealy orthopaedic mattresses that can be twinned, if needed. We can also offer a baby cot, on request. Both bedrooms have widescreen televisions and Roberts radios, as well as ironing boards and irons. The cottage is laid out over three floors, with the open plan living and kitchen/dining area on the ground floor. There is a bedroom each with ensuite shower room on the first and second floor. The bedroom on the second floor has air conditioning. The cottage is attached to The Mistley Thorn Hotel and keys can be picked up at the hotel reception. Our team will walk you through the cottage and explain anything that you need to know. Convenient on-street parking is available just outside the door and we offer additional limited parking in a small lot behind the hotel on a first come, first served basis. Guest access Guests have access to the complete cottage. There isn't any outside space, however Mistley Green is next to the property and is a beautiful spot for a picnic or walk. Other things to note We are doggie friendly and happy to accommodate your well mannered and trained pooch with advance notice. With advance notice, we can arrange to fill the fridge with any groceries or meal items, arrange for babysitting, taxi service or additional housekeeping.
