Nestled alongside the edge of a wood close to our TRANQUIL LAKE, this COUNTRYSIDE and WATERFRONT retreat offers ultimate glamping in this RARE and HISTORIC building. Fishing is also included in your stay The space This carefully restored and converted 19th century country estate Henry & Julius summer house has been a labour of love! With its original glass windows restored and original panelling, this really is a step back to a different era, but with all the added extras for a luxury glamping experience. Step through the arch into the country garden and up the wooden path to the cabin. Inside you are greeted by a spacious sitting and dining area, with log burner, sofa, TV, dining table & elevated king size comfortable bed with luxury velvet bedding (please note this is high off the floor and accessed via steps so may not be suitable for you - please ask us if you have any concerns, or we have other cabins which are more accessible). Then step through into the separate kitchen, which features a little gas hob, air fryer, fridge, kettle, microwave and all of usual pots, crocks and glassware you will need. The cabin also features a separate shower room and toilet, all under the same roof, so no need to go out in the cold in the middle of the night! The best feature of which is the door that leads straight up the path and steps, adorned with festoon lighting, through the garden, to the log-fired hot tub! The steps lead to an elevated decked seating & BBQ area, which looks out across the lake and main bank. This leads to the log-fired hot tub housed under a little roof with our favourite festoon lighting which adds to the ambience after dark. You'll receive a complimentary wheelbarrow of logs to keep you warm and toasty, but more can be purchased from us during your stay if you need. We do only allow logs to be burned that have been purchased from us, as we use a local firm which is HETAS accredited and limits the smoke on site. Logs are £20 per wheelbarrow, or £10 for a sack. And, if that wasn't enough to hook you in, you'll also get FREE fishing for each person, so you can fish to your heart's content during your entire stay! Just make sure you have a valid rod licence, bring your own tackle and adhere to our basic fishery rules. Things to note: - we do not allow cars along the lake bank, cars must remain in the car park at all times. - unfortunately this cabin is not suitable for wheelchairs or those with limited mobility due to the steps and access to the elevated bed. - we suggest you bring wellington boots as the bank can get wet / muddy in the winter months or after wet weather. - we do not provide towels, so please remember to bring your own! - we recommend bringing a torch to help navigate around the site after dark - if you wish to fish, you must adhere to our fishery rules - we are a quiet site, no loud music and quiet times must be adhered to between 9pm and 8am. - we do not allow visitors at any times. Guest access Guests can use all of their designated cabin and private areas, and may walk through the remaining areas of the site as indicated by us on arrival, including the neighbouring woodland walk Other things to note **** Please Note ****** We provide Bed Linen, soap, paper towels and pillows but we DO NOT provide towels but AirBnb essential listing does not give you the option of removing towels from this list. So please remember to bring your towels as we do not provide them. We do not allow visitors at any time. Please adhere to quiet times between 10pm and 9am. We are a lakeside setting so can have a lot of geese over the Summer - please bear in mind that this may also create goose poo! You may only burn our logs during your stay for safety reasons. No smoking allowed inside the cabins, please use the designated sand buckets for butt ends. No candles or other naked flames allowed in the cabins. For fishing you must have a valid rod licence, bring your own tackle and adhere to our rules: - never leave the rods unattended - use bite alarm if night fishing - only barbless hooks allowed - carp mats, landing nets and care kits essential. - only fish in your cabin’s water, unless agreed with us - natural baits like sweetcorn and worms work well here, but you may use others, just no floating bread - look after our fish please!
