泊まれる文化交流施設 盆宿U bon-yadoU

Description

Bonshuku U, a renovated 180-year-old merchant house, "Old Shibayoke". We have renovated two "Uriso" buildings, unique to southern Akita Prefecture, one of Japan's leading heavy snow areas, connecting the main house and the storehouse with a large roof so that you can come and go even during the winter snowfall. This room features a special display of "indigo dyed yukata", a unisex dance costume made by hand using traditional dyeing techniques from southern Akita prefecture. On the first floor, there is a dining room with a mini-kitchen and a bathroom, and on the second floor, overlooking the dynamic beams, there is an indigo-dyed yukata and a record player, so you can experience the history that has been carved with Bon Odori. The space Opened in the spring of 2025 in the center of a city famous for one of Japan's three major Bon dances, the "Nishimainai Bon Dance". A complex where you can experience local culture and lifestyle, renovating a magnificent-scale mansion with 4 warehouses into guest rooms, saunas, cafes & bars, etc. | bon-sauna U | There is a Finnish-style warehouse sauna on the premises with a Nishi-Maoutai Bon Odori theme. In addition to the morning sauna for guests only, there is a public sauna for men only (with ladies' days) and a private sauna for men and women, both of which require advance booking, so please book early if you wish. | Lounge U | You are welcome to use the public lounge with a front desk, cafe & bar, and book & record library (hours | 8: 00-21: 00/regular holidays | Wednesdays and Thursdays). Work at the communal table, relax on the sofa, enjoy food and drinks at the counter, or find something to play in the book and record library… spend your time in your favorite style. | Commons U | The space that was used as the main house of the old Shibayoshi family is now a rental space. It has hardly been renovated, and the atmosphere of the Shibuyo family's life remains strong, making it an attractive space. It is equipped with power and Wi-Fi, so it can be used for events, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, etc., as well as for various exchanges.
