The Farmer's Suite (near Gettysburg!)

Located in the heart of Pennsylvania's fruit belt, we offer a peaceful and authentic countryside experience. Expect beautiful views, fresh air, and a homey space that has welcomed guests from around the world for more than a decade. You’ll stay in a private suite with its own entrance, a jacuzzi tub, and some kitchen basics (Nespresso, microwave, mini-fridge, water boiler). The space We want guests to be comfortable and arrive with the right expectations. This is a real, lived-in farmland environment. While we clean thoroughly before every stay, the space is close to the garden and orchard areas, and occasional farm visitors—like a stray bug or a bit of outdoor dust—are part of the experience. If you're looking for a spotless, urban-style apartment, this may not be the best fit. But if you enjoy nature, peace, authenticity, and fresh air, you’ll love it here. We use organic soaps, line-dry linens in the sun when weather allows, and partially rely on geothermal heating/cooling. The guest suite is furnished with a mix of antique pieces and meaningful items we’ve collected during our travels around the world. The décor is comfortable, homey, and full of character—an eclectic, globally inspired space that reflects our family’s European roots and adventures abroad. Guest access The Farmer's Suite is located on the ground level. There is a private entrance from the parking area right by the door and there are no steps. However, please note that there a jacuzzi tub with handheld shower attachment - some mobility is required to enter/exit the tub (additionally: using the showerhead does require being in a seated position). During your stay We love meeting and speaking with our guests! We are multi-lingual; languages include English, German, French, Polish, Italian, Russian, and Spanish and have traveled to dozens of countries on four continents and the Middle East. Charles is a social scientist and avid traveler, and very much enjoys meeting new friends. In recent months (2025) his mobility and hearing have decreased substantially - thank you for your patience. Cecylia, recently retired from teaching decades in music, enjoys being present to host and meet our guests and help make their stay comfortable. Other things to note We are happy to help you make the most of your visit and offer you suggestions. If you have needs or questions, please ask! Many of our guests enjoy local historic towns, enjoy Gettysburg on bicycle, go horseback riding, skiing, hiking in parks, delicious fare at local restaurants, purchasing organic produce at fruit stands. There is also golf, swimming, antiquing, and so much more to enjoy in this area! We are an easy drive to Hershey, Pennsylvania as well.
