4-Star Gîte La Fermette – “Le Clos du Champceau”

Welcome to our cozy 50 m² gîte, ideal for a getaway for two or with family. It is a small haven that we have carefully furnished to make you feel at home. Whether you're visiting to relax, reconnect with nature, or explore the surrounding area, here you'll find peace, comfort, and authenticity in a peaceful environment. Optional breakfast for €10/person Local and homemade products for sale on-site The space In the heart of a wooded park, you will find our cottage, a typical Brionnais farmhouse, a few meters from our house, a former barn that is currently being renovated. On the ground floor, the living room invites you to relax with a 140x190 cm sofa bed (ideal for two extra beds in addition to the bedroom – more suitable for 2 children), a dining room, and a separate toilet. The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to cook as if you were at home: hob, oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, utensils… Everything is there! Upstairs, you will find a bright bedroom with a queen-size bed (sheets and towels provided) and a shower room with a large shower and toilet. A covered terrace adjoining the vacation rental is reserved for you. It has all the amenities necessary for an outdoor vacation: garden furniture, table, chairs, barbecue. A large swimming pool, nestled in a green setting and away from prying eyes, is at your disposal. All in a landscaped park of over 1.5 acres. The cottage and its surroundings are designed to offer you a pleasant stay, whether you come to relax, discover the region, or simply enjoy the calm of the countryside. Guest access You can enjoy the entire place. The gite is a few meters from our house, and all green spaces are shared. Enjoy the micro farm and our animals to your liking. Eggs available to those who will pick them up at the henhouse ;) Other things to note Ideally located in the countryside of the small village of Saint-Martin-du-Lac, our cottage welcomes you in the heart of Charolais-Brionnais, an authentic region where nature, heritage and the good life come together perfectly. Cycling enthusiasts will be delighted by the immediate proximity of the Voie Verte (Véloire), a former railway line that has been converted for cyclists, walkers, and families. It winds its way through meadows, hedgerows and typical villages, offering an ideal way to discover the area at a leisurely pace. For lovers of water sports, the nearby Loire River is perfect for canoeing or kayaking, suitable for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. Paddling along the wild river will allow you to discover the local fauna and flora in a preserved setting. (Canoe rental with our partner Arganoé is available upon request) The area is full of characterful villages, rich in exceptional Romanesque heritage and remarkable Cluniac sites, testifying to the influence of Cluny Abbey in the Middle Ages. Don't miss Semur-en-Brionnais, a medieval town classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, or Anzy-le-Duc with its magnificent Romanesque church. Whether you enjoy leisurely walks, are passionate about history, or are simply looking for peace and quiet and nature, our gite is the perfect base from which to explore the treasures of southern Burgundy.
