Lovely cottage (bath & fishing)

A typical charming Swedish red cottage in lovely surroundings next to a lake (2 min walk) with your own bathing place with platform, access to boat and one canoe for up to 3/4 persons and free fishing (You can borrow simpel fishing equipment). Fully equipped main house with 3 bedrooms. Additionally 1 small house available with 4 beds. It is very quiet and peaceful here and you will see the sheep and horses graze near the house. The space Set amidst the wilderness of forests, meadows and lakes of Bergslagen, you can spend days in this house all year being fully activated - or relaxed. In the summertime, sheep and horses walk in the meadows close to the house. In the autumn, walk the forest and pick mushrooms and berries. In the wintertime, try cross country skiing in the meadows or around the lake. The fish in the lake are awake all year around. The lake's other inhabitants, the beavers, of which there are plenty, sleep in the winter but can be spotted in early mornings and evenings the other seasons if you stay silent. One of my own kids' favorite summer activities; "beaver safari". Foreign guest often go on a "moose safari", but you are likely to see a moose whether you want to or not. Many days the golden eagles can be seen sweeping in the sky. People are often astonished by the silence out here. There is a small house close to the main building with 2 bunk beds for 4 people. The lake and a private dock for the guests is found a short walk from the house. The house is a unique construction that has faced a number of renovations and new rooms, the oldest part of it being from the 19th century when this area was vastly populated. The house has been in our family since the 1920's. We ourselves used it as our country house all year around until a few years back. Now I moved out here from the city and live permanently in the neighboring house. Guest access Apart from the splendid nature around you, you have access to your private bathing place on the lake with a platform, a boat and one canoe for up to 3/4 persons and free fishing in the lake. The house is fully equipped and has a platform for outdoor dining, you can make a BBQ by the house or the lake. The drinking water comes from our own well and is very good. Herbal tea from the garden and a basic set of spices is provided - mostly from the gardens around the house. In the warm months you can pick your own mint leafs in the garden and make tea or mojitos! Should you want to stay indoors a rainy day, you can make fires in the 2 fire places in the house, make your own fresh mint tea and watch movies from the house's big collection of DVDs. For the kids there is some regular lego to play with and a lot of different games for indoor and outdoor. You have free access to wood for the fire places throughout your stay. There is a lot of art on the walls and other beautiful things, we want to create a homely atmosphere and have kept the house the way it was when we used it for our holidays. Additionally, 2 one person kayaks, with life vests, can sometimes be borrowed, but subject to availability and we do not guarantee access to the equipment. Wifi in the house is available, please contact us for more information before arriving if this is interesting. Many guests appreciate to not have wifi when they are spending their holidays here. Occasional access to wifi can be given to guests at my own house . Other things to note Bed sheets and towels are provided for free. Cleaning of the house(floors, dust the windows and furniture) will be charged. The nearest grocery stores are located in Grythyttan (14 km), Hällefors and Nora.
