Lovers of old-fashioned charm: Come and discover this family home, spacious & pleasant to live in, ideal for 12 people: 5 beautiful bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large indoor & outdoor living spaces, swimming pool with secure access. Ideally located in Tonnay-Charente, between La Rochelle & Oléron, this charming town seduces with its peaceful setting. 10 minutes from Rochefort, you will have privileged access to walks along the Charente and a heritage steeped in history. The space This spacious and warm accommodation welcomes you in an ideal setting for holidays with family or friends. Weekly rental only for summer 2026 from July 18 to August 22! On the ground floor, you will enjoy a beautiful living space including: - A beautiful 25 m2 kitchen fully equipped and bathed in light, with direct access to the garden. The kitchen has plenty of storage; the countertop & large central island are waxed concrete. A wooden table allows 8/10 people to eat. You will also find a connected speaker. In addition, the kitchen provides access to the garage/back kitchen with 1 additional refrigerator & a freezer. For the record, we thought, designed, & made this kitchen ourselves in 2024! - A 30 m2 dining room allows you to eat with 12 people. - A comfortable 30 m2 living room, perfect for your moments of relaxation. It includes 2 large sofas, armchairs, a small desk area, a TV (with Apple TV) & a connected speaker. The living room is separated from the kitchen by a large mottled glass window, which brings a lot of charm, light & a view of the garden! Upstairs, five large bright rooms can accommodate up to 12 people: - Bedroom 1: the master bedroom of 20 m2 is composed of a double bed (160), with adjoining bathroom. The 2 large windows offer a beautiful view of the garden, the raised terrace, & the Suspension Bridge, without any neighbors. Bathroom no. 1 has been renovated by us in waxed concrete, you will enjoy a large shower (90x160), and storage. - Bedroom 2: this 15 m2 bedroom is isolated from the rest of the floor. Quiet, with its 2 large windows you will enjoy a very beautiful light & a magnificent view of the garden & the Suspension Bridge. (Windows without shutters). It consists of a double bed (140) and a private bathroom. Bathroom no. 2 includes a shower cubicle, sink with storage, and private toilet. - Bedroom 3: the children's room (25 m2)! It consists of 3 single beds (90), a large desk, a large Weleda board, toys & books! - Bedroom 4: Large bedroom of 25 m2, full of charm with the isolated sleeping area (double bed 160). It also includes a desk area. - Bedroom 5: Beautiful bedroom of 27 m2 bathed in light, with its 3 large windows overlooking the Charente & the Suspension Bridge. It consists of a double bed (160), a small bed (90), & a small desk. - Bathroom no. 3 is spacious (15 m2), you will find a shower cubicle, plenty of storage, a massage table & a sauna under renovation. We are making every effort to make it available this summer! This all-wood bathroom has 2 large windows overlooking the garden, pool & palm trees: a guaranteed change of scenery! The sink is in the adjoining room, which also serves as a laundry room: it is a favorite room with its small mosaics & original sink! It provides access to bathroom no. 3, the pool terrace, and includes a washing machine, dryer & separate toilet. The hallways & landings on the floor are spacious. Separate toilets are located in the center of the floor. All mattresses are new & of good quality. Each room is equipped with storage, with shelves & hangers to store all your belongings. Particular attention is paid to the equipment. Linens (bed, toilet & kitchen) are included in the cleaning package, not optional. You will also find in the showers and water points hand & body soaps of the brand "Les Choses Simples", made in Provence and suitable for sensitive skin. Baby equipment is available on request: highchair, baby bed with sheets, bathtub & changing table. Many board games & puzzles are also available to guests. The atypical exteriors are the charming asset of the house! A large space not overlooked, surrounded by palm trees & old stones, with a beautiful view of the Suspension Bridge. Several spaces allow everyone to relax & enjoy good times with family or friends: - facing the kitchen, greenery with lawn, palm trees & flowers, - on the left side a paved terrace that includes a large table with umbrella & a chill out area, with bench & armchairs. - on the right side, a beautiful covered space of about 50 m2: the courtyard is ideal for eating sheltered from the sun during the day, & sheltered from the wind on cooler evenings. The table allows you to eat 12 people, you will also have a Weber barbecue and its accessories, a small desk & storage cabinets for outdoor games. - At the bottom of the garden, a stone staircase provides access to the terrace & the upstairs pool. A gate with a code lock allows you to block this access. So kids can play safely in the garden. Note that ball games are prohibited, in the house but also outdoors: some window panes are very old & we care a lot about them! - At the top of these stairs, you will find a charming little terrace by the pool, sunny in the morning & with a unique view of the Suspension Bridge. - The swimming pool is 4 x 8 meters, and is about 1.5 meters deep. It is not overlooked & allows you to fully enjoy (while respecting the neighborhood). A bubble tarp helps maintain the temperature. Someone will come to maintain it regularly during your stay. - The large wooden terrace on the pool side has deckchairs & garden furniture. This beautiful space is sunny in the afternoon & at the end of the day, making it an ideal spot for an aperitif in the sun! Without neighbors, you will enjoy the beautiful view of the garden & the house. Direct access to laundry & bathroom #3 is very convenient. Note that this door locks, allowing you to block access to the pool from inside the house. The environment of the house is also pleasant: - the Charente & its quays are directly accessible when leaving, - 200 meters away, you will find local shops, including a grocery store open 6 days/7, - the small Sunday morning market allows you to buy oysters & local products (on the quays, less than 5 minutes walk), - a big shopping mall is a 5-minute drive away, - a small free parking lot allows you to park easily nearby.
