Misterios Lodge is a quiet, private retreat designed exclusively for adults seeking calm and privacy. Set among trees with Atlantic views on Pico Island, it is a single-level, high-quality lodge built from sustainably sourced wood and designed for thermal and acoustic comfort. The lodge is intended for guests who value quiet surroundings and a low-noise environment and is not suitable for parties or events. The space Misterios Lodge is a fully independent, single-level lodge located discreetly on the same property as the main house, while remaining physically and functionally separate. The lodge has its own entrance and exclusive use of the land immediately around it, ensuring privacy throughout the stay. The interior includes one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning, a separate living area with air conditioning, and a fully equipped kitchen suitable for longer stays and day-to-day cooking. The interior area is approximately 39 m², complemented by a covered outdoor deck of about 3 m². Kitchen and household amenities include a Nespresso coffee machine, Smart TV, washing machine, dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. Storage and layout are designed for comfort over multi-night stays rather than short, high-turnover visits. The lodge is located near Porto das Baixas, with access via a quiet secondary road rather than a main traffic route, contributing to a low-noise environment while remaining easily accessible by car. Guest access Guests arrive via a shared driveway used by both the lodge and the main house. The lodge itself is fully detached, with a private entrance and exclusive use of the land immediately around it. Areas surrounding the main house are private and not accessible to guests. The lodge is single level and step-free, accessed via a wooden ramp. Please note that the natural terrain around the building is uneven and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Photos of the access path are provided to allow guests to assess suitability in advance. Other things to note Guests have exclusive access to the lodge and the land immediately around it. Areas near the main house are private and not accessible. For stays of seven nights or more, bedding and towels are changed once per week. Additional cleaning is not included and is available only by prior request. Linens are washed using low-fragrance detergent without fabric softeners. Duvets and pillows are made from hypoallergenic materials. Guests with specific sensitivities are encouraged to contact us in advance. The lodge is connected to the public electricity grid and complemented by on-site solar photovoltaic production with battery storage. A UPS allows continued laptop and internet use during short power interruptions. Internet access is provided through a dual-provider setup, combining a local fixed connection with an independent Starlink backup.
