Charming cabin/farmhouse on top of Beitostølen

Unique cabin for rent on top of Beitostølen - panoramic views over the entire mountain range. We want to share our little cabin at Beitostølen with others. Stølen is located at the top of Grønåsen with sweeping views of Beitostølen and into the mountains. It is centrally located in Beitostølen, but still a private location. Cozy old-fashioned standard at the cabin that gives a real cabin feeling. In the summer there are mountain hikes right behind the cabin and in the winter there is more or less Ski in/Ski out. The space Traditional stool cabin with simple, but good standard is rented out at the top of Beitostølen. The cabin is about 80 sqm and is sheltered with fenced plot and immediate proximity to mountain terrain and ski slopes/ski center. Amenities: The cabin has no running power or water, but there is a solar panel that provides light and the possibility of charging phones. Water must be brought or collected/purchased in the city center. If you have your own water tanks, these can be filled up in the city center, either via the campground, Kiwi, hotels, or other options. Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with a gas refrigerator, a gas stove top and a wood-burning stove with a griddle. There are frying pans and boilers for use. There are tires for common use. Bedroom: There are eight beds divided into three bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two bunk beds, and one with one bunk bed. There are duvets and pillows for all beds, but you must bring your own bed linens. Heating: Heating is provided by a wood-burning large fireplace in the living room and two wood-burning stoves. Firewood is included in your stay. Large living room: In the living room there is a sofa seating area in front of the fireplace and a large dining table. Toilet: The outhouse is a bioposes system with bark. The toilet is emptied upon departure/as needed by guests, and the bio-waste bag is thrown into the green containers, which you can see on the way up to the cabin. All trash can also be disposed of there. Hiking opportunities: There are good hiking opportunities right outside the door. There are several trails in the immediate vicinity of the cabin that can be walked into the mountains. In winter, it is a short distance to ski tracks and alpine resorts – about 100 meters down to the nearest ski tracks that lead into the hill. Same way back to the cabin from the ground, very easy and straightforward. The cabin is located about 15–20 minutes walk from the center of Beitostølen, with downhill to and uphill back. Taxi company drives all the way up to the cabin if you want to take advantage of it. In the summer, sheep graze in the fenced area around the cabin. Arrival: Road all the way, with parking on the grounds and outside. In winter, 4x4 is recommended. It is steeped and graveled all the way up to the cabin in the winter, but there are quite steep hills up, so we highly recommend 4x4 cars. Optionally, the car can be parked downtown and walk from there to the cabin or take a taxi. Pets are allowed. During the summer, a small area outside the cabin is often fenced off so that animals can roam freely, but be aware of grazing animals nearby and remember to keep them on a leash. The cabin is suitable for families, those interested in the outdoors, skiers, and those who want accommodation close to both nature and the city center. Guest access The barn on the property is not part of the rental stay. Other things to note • There is no running water. Guests must bring their own. • The cabin has a solar panel that allows charging of cell phones, etc. + power for lamps. There is 12-volt charging. • There are duvets and pillows, but guests must bring their own bed linen. • Firewood for heating is included in the stay. • Guests must connect gas to propane tanks themselves
