Charming cabin/farmhouse on top of Beitostølen

Unique cabin for rent on top of Beitostølen - panoramic views over the entire mountain range. We want to share our little cabin at Beitostølen with others. Stølen is located at the top of Grønåsen with sweeping views of Beitostølen and into the mountains. It is centrally located in Beitostølen, but still a private location. Cozy old-fashioned standard at the cabin that gives a real cabin feeling. In the summer there are mountain hikes right behind the cabin and in the winter there is more or less Ski in/Ski out. The space Traditional stølshytte with simple, but good standard rented out on top of Beitostølen. The cabin is approximately 80 sqm and is shielded with a fenced plot and immediate proximity to mountain terrain and ski slopes/ski center. Facilities: The cabin has no electricity or water, but there is a solar panel that provides light and the possibility of charging phones. Water must be brought or picked up/purchased in the city center. If you have your own water tanks, you can probably fill them up in the city center, either via camping, hotels or other possibilities. In the summer it is possible to fetch water from a well nearby, but this should not be drunk. Only for dishes or similar. Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas refrigerator, gas hob and wood stove with a frying top. There are frying pans and kettles that can be used. There is tableware for regular use. If you bring your own cardboard tableware, it can be burned in the wood stove. Bedrooms: There are 8 beds divided into 3 bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with 2 bunk beds and one with 1 bunk bed. There are duvets and pillows for all beds, but bed linen must be brought by yourself. Sleeping bags are allowed. Heating: Heating is provided by wood burning in a large fireplace in the living room and two wood stoves as well as two propane stoves. Firewood is included in your stay. Large living room: In the living room there is a sofa seating area in front of the fireplace and a large dining table with a total of 8 seats. Toilet: The outdoor toilet is a bio-bag system with bark. The toilet is emptied upon departure/after need and the bio bag is thrown in green containers, which you see on the way up to the cabin. All garbage can also be thrown away there. Hiking opportunities: There are good hiking opportunities right outside the door. There are several trails in the immediate vicinity of the cabin that can be walked into the mountains. In winter, it is a short distance to ski slopes and alpine facilities – about 100 meters down to the nearest ski slope that leads into the hill. The same way back to the cabin from the ground, very easy and straightforward. The cabin is located approx. 15-20 minutes walk from Beitostølen city center, with downhill to and uphill back. Taxi companies drive all the way up to the cabin if you want to use it. In the summer, sheep graze in the fenced area around the cabin. They can be folded and patted as desired. Arrival: Car road all the way up, with parking on the plot and outside. In winter, four-wheel drive is recommended. The road is plowed and gravelled all the way up to the cabin in the winter, but there are quite steep hills up, so we highly recommend four-wheel drive. Alternatively, the car can be parked in the city center and you can walk from there to the cabin or take a taxi. Animals are allowed. In the summer, a small area outside the cabin is often fenced so that animals can walk freely, but be aware of grazing animals nearby The cabin is well suited for families, outdoor enthusiasts, skiers and those who want accommodation close to both nature and the city center. Guest access The barn on the property is not part of the rental stay. Other things to note • There is no running water, this must be brought by guests. There is a Kiwi nearby where this can be bought. Otherwise, there are possibilities to fill water if you have your own buckets at the campsite, hotels or others. • The cabin has a solar panel that provides the opportunity to charge mobile phones etc. + light for lamps. It's a 12 volt charge. • There are duvets and pillows, but guests must bring their own bed linen. • Firewood is included in the stay for heating.
