For shopping and eating out, head into the cathedral city of Exeter (6 miles) where a wonderful array of independent boutiques, cafes, and restaurants awaits. It won’t take long to reach the coast and traditional seaside resorts such as Dawlish Warren, Exmouth, and Sidmouth (all within 20 miles). Whilst here, join the South West Coast Path for a clifftop hike with a view or hunt for fossils along the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. There are some great family attractions in the immediate area, including Crealy Theme Park (7 miles) and Powderham Castle (5 miles).
