Bed and breakfast in Cornwall

A happy fusion of contemporary and antique meet in this luxurious and lofty suite of rooms with outdoor sauna and plunge bath. A hamper of breakfast delights; fruit salad and hot croissants, is delivered to your door each morning. This is an artists residence complete with gilded oil paintings and softly framed expansive countryside and boatyard views. Close to stunning beaches and excellent eateries. The bathroom is generous with Mallorca-inspired oval stone bath and walk in rain shower:) The space The Barn was restored from the stone of a farm ruin, when we bought it there was no roof and scarcely any walls. It’s now a beautifully warm contemporary sustainable home filled with light and carefully curated pieces. The interior was designed by RAW Decoration with furnishings sourced in Mallorca and Cornwall. The 1.5 acre garden wraps itself around the house. There's a large Mediterranean-inspired terrace with lawns below which seamlessly fold into the countryside beyond. To the side of the house the electric sauna and plunge bath are here for you to relax in. There's also an orchard, planted with fruit and nut trees. A footpath, below the house, takes you through ancient bluebell woods to the stream below. We’re close to the head of the Helford River and the village of Gweek with its welcoming pub, the Black Swan, the incredible Gweek Village Stores (perfect place to source gifts to take home), Sula Boatyard cafe and the famous Seal Sanctuary. Flora at Trelowarren is our favourite restaurant in Cornwall and 15-minutes away. The glorious beaches of Dollar, Church, Gunwalloe Fishing Cove and Poldhu are a short drive away. Guest access Guests have sole use of the private East bedroom suite which comprises the lofty bedroom and large en-suite bathroom. Breakfast can be served, English, in the dining room outside the suite each morning or if you prefer privacy, a continental-style hamper will be left outside your room each morning. Guests must make their preference known at time of booking. Guests are free to use the electric sauna and plunge bath, roam the acre of grounds, terrace, lawns and orchard and there is an additional private terrace to the east of the suite for their sole use with seating. Other things to note The sauna and plunge bath are in the garden approximately 40 metres from the East bedroom suite. Natural and ethical botanical products from Land & Water are provided for guests.
