Rental unit in Newport

This is a brand-new annexe in peaceful Newport just outside Saffron Walden. It's a pretty village with lots of services and facilities within a very short walk: Nisa, a pharmacy, ATM, bakery, cafe, Indian restaurant, 2 pubs (one is 50 yards away and does superb food). Stunning farmland behind us, which is a beautiful walk, especially for dogs. Audley End House, Saffron Walden, and Saffron Hall are 5 mins drive away. Stansted airport, 17 mins. Cambridge, 23 mins. Trains to London Liverpool Street The space The annexe is a brand-new, having just been converted from what was a farm workshop. Apart from the standard-sized double bed, we can also provide a camp bed for a child. The kitchenette is well equipped with an induction hob, fan oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and iron. The butterfly table folds away too but can very comfortably seat four people at least. Outside the French doors is a gravel area with a table and chairs, and a small private section of garden (lawn). For dog owners, we'd just mention that this is cordoned off rather than fenced off. We're overlooked by giant pine trees and, as this was formerly a farm, we just have farmland behind us - so it's nice and peaceful. Parking is on the drive and, for a separate fee, we may be able to offer EV charging. The TV is on a flexible mount so can be viewed on the sofa or in bed or at the dining table. It has apps including Netflix, Prime Video and BBC iPlayer (but not "live" channels unless you watch those through the apps). (Speaking of TV, a bit of irrelevant trivia for film buffs: two pieces of furniture - the dressers - used to belong to Ridley Scott!) Guest access The annexe is completely self-contained, only linked to the main house via a soundproof door. There is also a section of the garden just for you too (cordoned off), plus one parking space on the drive. Other things to note For dog owners: We don't supply dog beds, dog bowls or dog towels. However, we do have a warm-water outside tap which is useful for hosing off after muddy walks! Nonetheless, we'd ask guests to respect our "no pets on the furniture" rule to keep it nice and clean for everyone - many thanks. Pooh bags: please use the public bin at the top of the drive on the right, rather than our black bin (as it’s only emptied fortnightly). Please note that the garden is not enclosed on all sides - it is only cordoned off.
