The Folly

Kick back and relax in this calm, rural oasis. Set within the garden of the Hermitage, on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Folly offers a small but well-equipped space to stay, charmingly situated in the heart of the village of Souldern. The space The Folly is set within the walled garden of The Hermitage, the heart of the village of Souldern on the edge of the Cotswolds. Being within the garden, whilst a private space, it is a part of our home. The Folly has a small but well-equipped kitchenette offering kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge to make small breakfasts, tea etc. However, cooking facilities are not available (eg oven & hob). For more substantial meals we can offer local recommendations - starting with The Fox (our wonderful village pub, situated less than 1 minute away). Souldern is ideally located for visitors coming by: Car - M40 Junction 10 = 3.5 miles (5mins) Train - Bicester North & Village stations = 7 miles (15 mins) / Kings Sutton = 5 miles (12 mins) Our Guests’ popular Local Attractions include: The Great Barn (Wedding & Events Venue) Silverstone (F1 Racetrack) RH England at Aynho Park Bicester Village shopping Guest access Guest access is limited to The Folly unless otherwise agreed. Other things to note Parking Free parking is available on the ‘High St’ outside the front of The Hermitage. Access to The Folly is through the Garden gate, situated off the High Street to the left of the main front door of The Hermitage. Additional Guests The Folly is designed to accommodate 2 people (1 double bed, 1 bathroom). However, if required, we can offer a Travel cot, for babies (no additional charge) or we can make up the sofa-bed, however, please note that the sofa bed comprises a large proportion of the living space. (surcharge - available on request) We are unable to welcome your pets at The Folly.
