The space The Stanley Homestead is a piece of history in Kingfield, Maine, the birthplace of the renowned Stanley brothers, innovators of the iconic Stanley Steamer automobile. As the first home built in this charming town, it exudes a sense of timeless heritage. Large well supplied kitchen to cook family meals, with ample seating at the breakfast bar, kitchen table, and dining room table. Two living rooms give families space to spread out while kids watch a movie, and adults can play cards and sip cocktails. 5 bedrooms provide enough space for comfortable sleeping arrangements for your family, while the large common spaces are perfect for gathering for meals, games, and making memories. House Rules: No Parties or Events: Parties and events are strictly prohibited. We have a zero-tolerance policy. No Smoking or Drugs: No Smoking or Drugs: Smoking, illegal drugs, parties, and excessive noise are prohibited. No Commercial Use: Commercial photography and videography without written consent are strictly prohibited. Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for damages, injury, or loss that occur on the premises. Any property damage must be reported to customer service. Unreported damages will be deducted from the security deposit or reported to the booking platform. Internet Service: Wireless internet is provided as a courtesy. Service can sometimes be erratic. We are not responsible for internet issues or provide technical support, and no refunds are issued for internet service problems. Agreement to House Rules: Booking a reservation constitutes agreement to comply with these House Rules. Violations will result in liability for any associated damages, fees, costs, or expenses. Guest access Guest will have access to the entire main house with only the garage and a few closets being private. Guest will also enjoy Free WiFi, parking, as well as Washer/Dryer combo located on first floor. Outside, guest have access to 1 acre of land with outside patio and babbling stream. Other things to note The home and property are clean, but please expect that you may see frogs, turtles, deer, ants, spiders, rabbits, etc. Please respect any furry or slithery friends you may come across, and please do not be alarmed if you see a bit of country on a country property. Do not be afraid to message us if you see a critter you didn’t expect to see, but please do not expect a refund if you don’t enjoy those critters.
