Located in beautiful Netherbury, West Dorset, near Beaminster & Jurassic Coast. A large family home with 6 bedrooms; 2 kingsize, 2 doubles and 2 twin rooms sleeping 10/12 people. There's also the option to rent either 1 or 2 separate 2 bedroom holiday lets on site sleeping an additional 8 people. Dogs welcome. 2 acres of garden with use of the tennis court. Near a local pub, countryside walks from the front door, Jurassic Coast beaches, Bridport with its street markets and Lyme Regis. The space The Old Sawmill is a large comfortable family home made with local stone in 1998 which we live in and enjoy when not rented. It is in a wonderful location, being on the edge of the popular and friendly village of Netherbury, close to Beaminster and Bridport with its interesting shops/pubs/restaurants and only 20 minutes to the beautiful Jurassic Coast beaches. Inside: The house has 6 bedrooms: 1 super kingsize bedroom, 1 kingsize bedroom, 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin single bedrooms. Bathrooms: there are 3 bathrooms: The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower & toilet, there is another bathroom with a bath, separate shower & toilet & another bathroom with a shower & toilet. Only the main bedroom bathroom is en-suite. There is a downstairs toilet. There is a large kitchen/dining room (sitting 10), a very large sitting room which can either have a table tennis table set up or a further dining area which will seat 12 people and a games room with a fun pool table, darts board, additional TV. Both the sitting room and games room have cosy woodburning fires and a comfortable sitting area with smart TV's. There is a downstairs toilet and a utility room with washing machine/storage. House layout: Ground floor: kitchen/dining room, large sitting room, games room with seating, utility room, downstairs toilet. First floor: main bedroom (super king size bed)/en-suite bathroom, bedroom 2 (king size bed), bedroom 3 (2 single beds), bedroom 4 (2 single beds), bathroom (bath/separate shower/toilet), shower room (shower/toilet). Second floor: bedroom 5 (double bed), bedroom 6 (double bed). Activities: There is the option of a table tennis table in the sitting room or dining table, games room with pool table and darts board and countless board/other games for you to enjoy. Outside there is an all weather two-tone green tennis court, boules, croquet and endless walks straight from the front door. The stunning Jurassic Coast with swimming beaches and coastal walks are only a 15 minute drive away. Outside: The Old Sawmill sits within a large 2 acre garden with a beautiful lawn area, orchard, field and has an all weather tennis court for your use. There are often sheep in the field and other wildlife in the garden. At the front of the house is a large lawn and patio with seating for 12 people. At the back of the house is a large patio area with seating, a fire pit and a large gas/hybrid BBQ. As well as a charcoal BBQ. Alongside the property sits Howards Wood with extensive footpaths. The house sits on the edge of Netherbury which is a very friendly and beautiful village. There are views over the stunning rolling Dorset countryside from the property. Please be aware that sometimes the internet can be intermittent because of the rural location. Please be aware that you are booking a family house that is lived in. So if you are looking for an immaculate show home, this might not be the property for you. Parking: There is ample private parking for cars at the front of the house and further parking further down the drive. Guest access You will have access to all the gardens: main lawn, orchard, tennis court & main parking area. There will be no separate guests in Sawmill Cottage unless you have booked this cottage too. So you will have sole use of all the property except Vine Cottage/garden down the drive where we will be staying. Other things to note This is our family home, so if you are looking for a pristine holiday let, it might not be the place for you. But it has loads of activities: tennis, table tennis, pool, football, croquet, boules, board games & is a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach.
