A 13th century presbytery and its old stone and wood workshop, in the quiet of sublime nature 15 minutes from the medieval village of Mirepoix. In the workshop you will find: A practical and comfortable kitchen-living room of 80 m2, wide open to the terrace and the shaded and flowered garden. A wood-burning stove will warm up your evenings from the first frosts. 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms upstairs. In the presbytery: Upstairs a beautiful 50 m2 bedroom with views of the Pyrenees and its bathroom. The space Lovers of wide open spaces, in search of a break, the presbytery of Seignalens is a place to come and retreat for a beneficial break. You will be welcomed in the pure beauty of the surrounding nature, at the foot of the Cathar Pyrenees, 15 minutes from the medieval village of Mirepoix. It is a soothing and regenerating haven of peace. A space where you can breathe, sleep, recharge in the generous lap of mother nature. An intimate, soothing, comfortable and charming place dedicated to returning to yourself. The 13th century presbytery and its old adjoining stone and wood workshop are set in a large flowered and shaded garden in the middle of the hills and woods, like a jewel. They are located in the Aude, and more precisely in the Razès, the beautiful country of a thousand hills, between Carcassonne and Toulouse. You can walk the hiking trails from the presbytery, discover the historical and cultural treasures of the mysterious and surprising Cathar country, kayak down the Hers in summer or ski the slopes in winter, immerse yourself in the thousand-year-old hot springs or just take the time to find yourself, write, read, and practice the art of napping in the shade of the weeping poplar or by the wood stove from the first frosts. Yoga classes and body treatments are offered on request and by reservation. Guest access You have full access to the workshop and the presbytery room: the Abbess, accessible through the workshop and the practice room. You're at home! The garden and garden furniture, hammocks, deckchairs and meditation arbor are at your disposal. You will access the entrance to the workshop through the garden, you will have the keys. Upon arrival you will park in the church square to unload your luggage. Then you will park in the parking lot 150 m away. Other things to note The presbytery is a place of retreat, well-being and return to oneself. In this context, yoga classes and body treatments are possible, à la carte and by reservation. They are practiced by highly qualified external professional teams. There is no obligation, it is just a proposal to give an additional dimension to your stay, if you wish. Because it's a place that invites disconnection, there's no television but books everywhere, and board games for adults. Music is welcome with respect for the inhabitants of the village. For the same reasons, there is no Wi-Fi. Wired internet is available in the presbytery room and 4G works rather efficiently in the workshop. Finally, 2 cats live on the property. One is fearful, you won't see it much. The other, tiger, is much more sociable and will surely come to visit you or take a nap on the garden sofa.
