Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Le Grande Maison at Le domaine du Champredon, a 7 bedroom holiday home with outdoor swimming pool (1st May to 20th September only). Loving restored luxury accomomation surrounded by ancient woodland, forest and meadows is now available to book. There's lots of opportunities for walking and mountain biking in and around the forest. The roads around Champredon and surrounding villages are exceptional for road cycling. The space A 3 storey (ground, 1st & 2nd floors) unique 7 bedroom and 4 bathroom detached second home owned by Dan and Elaine Clarke from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. This stunning late 19 century house is set in the heart of Le Creuse, with substantial grounds surrounded by mixed ancient woodland, forest and meadows. Availability - Only availble 6 -8 weeks per year Pool and Gardens A timber fence surrounds the kidney shaped swimming pool (shallowend 1.5 metres to 3 metres deepend), and has a self closing locked gate. A timber deck around the majority of the pool has 12 sun loungers over looking the meadow and forest. The house has a number of locations outside areas for eating; 2 small stone tables and square timber table which seats 10/12. Additional tables available and set out on request. Gas bbq with additioanl gas bottled stored in the boiler room There is a hammock among the silver birch to laze away the afternoon reading in the shade or just sleeping! Woodland Forest and Meadows The forest has numerous cleared routes for walking and biking, maps provided in the house manual. The meadows will have grazing limousin cattle during the months of April to Octiober and will be fenced off. You can say hello over the fence! Ground floor Entrance hall; Utility with washer, additional fridge freezer shower room and downstairs loo and boiler room; Kitchen with fridge freezer, lacanche 2 oven ( 1 gas 1 electric) with 4 gas rings and hot plate, toaster, kettle; Dining room with entrance to the front of the house and 2 high chairs for babies/toddlers; Snug with TV and dvd player Spacious living room with TV and dvd player and dedicated office space First floor Bedroom 1 with super king bed and en-suite with cast bath, shower, toilet and basin; Bedroom 2 - king sized bed plus additional cot supplied on request; Bedroom 3 - king sized bed; House shower room with toilet and basin Second floor Bedroom 4 - double bed; Bedroom 5 - kingsize bed plus additional childs bed/ cot on request; Bedroom 6 - double bed plus additional childs bed/cot on request; Bedroom 7 - 2 twin beds; House shower room with toilet and basin Guest access The house, grounds and pool are for you to use for the entire stay. We do have a tennis court which we havn't yet renovated and is free to be used. There is plenty of space to park. Other things to note This loving restored 2nd home will be yours for the entire stay and we request that you respect and leave it as you find it for others to enjoy as you will. We've put together a list of does and don'ts Does - Champredon is a peaceful small hamlet off 4 houses please respect our neighbours - the pool is very deep, you enter the pool area at your own risk. Steps are provided into the pool at the shallow end which is just over a metre deep and gradually gets deeper with a suddon drop a third of the way in to 3 metres at its deepest. All children should be supervised at all times and the gate locked when not in use - playing table tennis in our barn - please take care on crossing the road to the barn and look out for the post van! - request additional outside table and chairs if all 15 guests would like to sit together for outside meals - we also have 2 highchairs Don'ts - No parties and no loud music - No excessive screaming and shouting in and around the pool and around the gardens front and back - please respect the tranquilty of Champredon and our neighbours. - No glass bottles, glasses, china plates on poolside or decking - plastic provided - All breakages to be replaced - No Smoking in the house - No candles in the house - No swimwear on any of the soft seated areas in the house - living room and snug
