Apartment Stari Bar 1 is located in a perfect spot – close to the Old Town, the Old Olive Tree, the Church of St. Nicholas, Selimija Mosque/Islamic Cultural Center.. Nestled in the greenery of a family estate, surrounded by century-old pine trees and olive groves, with a private courtyard ideal for relaxation. The space The apartment is fully equipped with new, modern furniture, and includes TV and internet, separate functional kitchen (stove and fridge), living room, bathroom with shower cabin, and bedroom with double bed. It is bright and full of natural light. Additionally, apartment provides: a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and clothes-drying rack (no washing machine). Guest access It is important to note that in front of the family house near the city hospital there is a large free public parking if you arrive by car. Nearby you will also find a bus stop (buses run every 30 minutes to the center of New Bar, the main bus and train stations, as well as to Sutomore and back – ticket price €1.00–1.50). A taxi stand is also available, where rides can be arranged at any time during the day (fares from €5.00 upwards, depending on agreement). Other things to note It’s an ideal location if you want to explore the rich culture and history of Stari Bar – everything is within a maximum of 10 minutes’ walk (often even less). These are the main landmarks we recommend visiting during your stay: • The Old Town, about 10 minutes’ easy walk (Citadel, Gunpowder Magazine, Turkish Bath, Aqueduct, Church of St. Veneranda, etc. Outside the town walls, you’ll also find the two oldest mosques in Bar’s urban area – Omerbašić Mosque and Škanjević Mosque); • Church of St. Nicholas, only 2 minutes away on foot (one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Bar’s urban area); • Selimija Mosque/Islamic Cultural Center, just 5 minutes’ walk; • The Old Olive Tree, around 10 minutes’ walk (the oldest olive tree in Europe, more than 2000 years old). The surroundings of Stari Bar also offer beautiful, lesser-known areas, well known to locals and perfect for hiking: Džadžarin, Bartula, Tuđemili, Spile, Turčini, etc. – where you can enjoy endless olive groves. New Bar is a modern port city with wide streets and lots of greenery – it has a long seaside promenade by the harbor. On the way between Old and New Bar you can visit the Archdiocese of Bar, while in the new part of town you’ll find King Nikola’s Palace with its park (home to the greatest variety of plant species in Europe), the City Gallery (open year-round), the Co-Cathedral, and the Church of St. John. Don’t forget that Bar is the sunniest city in Montenegro – with over 300 sunny days per year, making it attractive and welcoming all year round.
