Farm stay: Escape the city , enjoy the country

Need a break or to get out of the city? Please enjoy our ranch experience. This 650sf 2-Bd/1-Bth barn has horses & chickens just outside your window grazing & providing fresh eggs. We are 1.5 miles from downtown Petaluma with all the peace and charm of rural Northern California with great local gourmet stores with local meats and produce. Master has a queen bed & the 2nd BR has a twin / trundle (2 beds). Ideal for young families looking for a country getaway. Our space accommodates 4 people. The space We renovated the barn for family and friends and love to share it. Our space is perfect for anyone craving time in the country. If you love animals and always wanted a farm stay, this is your chance. Solid internet and TV/cable. Guests have private access to the barn apartment and exclusive outdoor space with a gas grill, comfy hammock, ping pong table and an outdoor shower (although not enclosed yet). At times, shared access to the pool (refreshingly not heated) & hot tub (definitely heated) with prior coordination can be arranged, please inquire upon booking. As hosts living on the property, we are available as much, or as little, as you want for direction and advice. We do need to tend to the animals so you will see us occasionally. Guest access We have on and off street parking that leads to a gate and pathway to your private entrance to the barn. If you like, there is typically someone around who can show you how to feed the chickens and collect eggs, feed & groom the horses and even muck the field. Quite therapeutic. Other things to note Your barn stay is in the country and on a small farm. Authentic farm smells, sounds and charm are to be expected. Bring boots and you are welcome to help feed and groom horses and interact with animals. Within 10 minutes from our house you can gather everything you will need for a one-of-a-kind farm-to-fork experience including local beer and great Sonoma wine. Petaluma typically has multiple great live music options including nightly music and craft beer at the Lagunitas Brewery. Local wineries include Sonoma Port Works, Keller, McEvoy Ranch (olive oil and winery), Kastania, Karah and more. Other local favorites include the Marine French Cheese Company, Della Fratorria Breads, Terra Firma farm (Grass-fed beef, pork, chicken) and Bodega Bay Oyster Company where you can enjoy BBQ oysters there and bring home fresh oysters to shuck yourself.
